60 60 REPORT OF SHOW, KEITH'S THEATRE, PROVIDENCE, R. I., NOVEMBER 17TH, 1902, (cHAS. LOVENBERG) The bill does not compare with those we have been having of late. There is a lack of liveliness, and the Ellsi act gives it a "Black eye." Stereopticon. As usual. Juggling Doyle. This young fellow makes a very neat appearance, and does a lively little act, which in its way, may be classed as good, if placed early on the bill. 10 min. full stage, 3 shows. Conley & Klein. Irish comedians and dancers. This is a fair act, and while it is not great does no harm, fills time, and as they work in one, gives opportunity for a set. 13 Min. 3 shows. The Zarnes Duo. man and woman in a very clever ring act. 12 min. full stage, 3 shows. Elizabeth Knight. This act is something of a disappointment, as form what had been said of her as an Oratorio Singer, I had been led to look for a much better voice. She sings fairly well, and changes of costume lends a little novelty to the act, which may be classed as fairly good. 11 min. in one, 3 shows. Mr. & Mrs. Chas. T. Ellis. While these people were never strong here they are much weaker this time than ever before, although I like the sketch which they are playing, fully as well as the old ones, as it gives Mrs. Ellis, who is now the most important member of the team better opportunities. Ellis's voice, which was formerly the best thing in the act, is now completely gone. I would consider the act well paid at one half the money. 18 min. full stage, 2 shows. Fred Stuber. Banjoist. Very good. 12 min. in one, 3 shows. Joe Maxwell & Co. In the same act they have been doing for the past two seasons, "The Fire Chief". This act goes very well, in fact, made quite a hit this afternoon, still I cannot but help feel that the act is also over-paid about $50. Carry their own scenery. 23 min. in three, 2 shows. Johnson & Wells. A colored team. Are quite good, but did not make a very big hit, due, I think, to the fact, that we have had about all the very good acts of this kind in ahead of them this season. 12 min. in one, 3 shows. The Martineeti Troup. Acrobats. As great an act as ever. 10 min. full stage, 2 shows. Carroll Johnson. Minstrel comedian, who gives some new stuff and some old, retaining his Prize-fight poem, which goes very big. 25 min. in one, 2 shows. Techow's Cats. A very novel and pleasing act. The principal thing in the show, that I can depend upon to draw some money. 14 min, full stage, 2 shows. Carson & Willard. Dutch comedians, who are very good. To my mind better than Weber & Fields. 12 min. in one, 3 shows. Canfield & Carleton. IN their old act "The Hoodoo", which seems to retain its strength. 23 min. full stage, can close in one, 2 shows. Biograph. O. K.
