72 NEW YORK SHOW: WEEK NOVEMBER 24th: STEREOPTICON:- Usual collection of views. 9 minutes in one. KR-3, TOM & LAURA HARRIS:- This act will be all right if they had a little stronger comedy element i it. The man reads his lines much better than the average vaudeville performer, and the young girl is a very clever dancer, but the trouble, is, that there is 15 minutes of dialogue that is almost absolutely without comedy before the dancing comes in, and on that account makes it a little bit dreary. I shall only play the act this week at present. 23 minutes, open full stage, close in one. NH-3, LePAGE & FLORENCE:- man and woman. The woman is simply a part of the stage picture and does not do much of anything, But the man is one of the best jugglers that I have ever seen in my life. His work is all clean cut and much of it of a novel nature. 11 minutes; full stage. SR-3, FRANK BUOMAN:- Magician and card manipulator. This fellow is quite a clever performer. He handles cards about as well as any man that I have ever seen and does several other tricks in an acceptable manner. I think that this is an excellent turn in one. 15 minutes in one. NH-3, CADIEUX:- on the bounding wire. This fellow cannot of course, be compared to Caceido, and yet he is an artist. he does nearly all the work Caceido does, but has not got that finish. 10 minutes in one. KR-3, MARKEY & STEWART:- Two men, one made up as a Hebrew and the other as an Irishman. That have not got much original of new material but they tell their stuff well and they went exceptionally well this afternoon. 15 minutes, in one. GHR-2, SNYDER & BUCKLEY:- Two men in a comedy musical act, one of them doing Dutch and the other straight. Rather above the average musical comedy acts, especially in the comedy section. They made quite a hit this afternoon. They did 30 mins. open full stage, close in one. GYN-2, BRIGHT BROS:- European acrobats. These people are too well known to need any criticism. They are simply excellent as they always are. 7 minutes; full stage. NH-3, JOHNSON & WELLS:- Colored man and woman in the regulation singing and dancing act. They are excellent dressers and do an act something after the Johnson & Dean order, and I think, come pretty near being as good as Johnson & Dean. 13 minutes, in one. MRR-2, ROSSOW MIDGETS:- same act that they have always done here, introducing the weight lifting and the boxing match, which always goes big. 10 minutes; full stage. NH-3, SUSIE FISHER:- Female Baritone: she has a rather remarkable voice, which while not exactly a Baritone is an exceptionally heavy contralto. She handles it well and while I was not particularly impressed with her selection of songs, she still went very strong. 10 minutes in one. GHR-2, MURPHY & NICHOLS:- Man and woman in a comedy sketch entitled "The Bifurcated Girl". Very good. 24 minutes; full stage. CHARLIE ROSSOW: (with Midgets) in a turn of songs. As usual he makes up as a little girl, and his diminutive size attracts the ladies. He has a pretty good voice, and he sings his songs with a good deal of expression. 7 minutes in one. GYH-2, GIRARD & GARDINER:- Man and woman in a comedy sketch entitled "The Soubrette and the Cop". The woman is very pretty, dresses nicely and sings fairly well, and Girard's eccentric comedy work made a big hit. It is a good act throughout. 25 minutes; full stage. YYR-2, MELVILLE & STETSON:- in their usual talking, singing and 'gagging' act. They had considerable new material this week and went about as they have always done in this house. 18 minutes, in one. GHR-2, MOSHER, HOUGHTON & MOSHER:- Three men in a comedy bicycle act, two straight and the other dressed as a tramp. The trick riding is exceptionally good and the comedy furnishes an acceptable foil to the straight riders. It is a very good act. The acrobatic work f the three men together on one wheel at the finish went very strong. 15 minutes; full stage. KR-3, BIOGRAPH:- Very good selection of views this week. 12 Mins. in one. S. K. HOGDON.
