74 PHILADELPHIA SHOW -- WEEK OF NOVEMBER 24th: THE LUCADOS: Man and woman in a pantomime stunt act. The do some fairly good work in balancing very heavy objects. CONLEY & KLEIN: Two men in Song and Dance act, both using wooden shoes. Fair team act. THE WONDERFUL BUSCH: Trapeze artist who works in three, dark back-ground, and uses spot light. His work is good but very slow, and he should consume about half the time in accomplishing what he does; seems inclined to pose a bit. HARRY B. LESTER: Monologue; appears in full dress. If shifted lower on the bill I think he would make good. In his place this afternoon the audience was very chilly. MORRISEY & RICH: Man and woman who also work in one. This is a cross-fire talking act and goes very well here; parts of it are clever, and further down on the bill would make a good act. ANDREASSEN BROS: Two men; acrobats. Neatly dressed acrobatic act; required full stage; act is full of ginger and goes very well. HOWLEY & LESLIE: Man and woman. The feature of the act is the woman's juvenile impersonations, which went strong. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX FADETTE ORCHESTRA: As big a hit as last week. SAILOR & BARBARETTO: The act is dressed nicely, but there is little to it; it should be further up on the bill. COLE & JOHNSON: Aside from the Fadette' sit is the real hit of the show. HAL MERRITT: Crayon Artist and mimic; he makes good, but the audience would like more drawing and less mimicking. BRUNO & RUSSELL: Man and woman in musical sketch; very fair act, but not strong enough for its place. MERVILLE, BOOTH & ELMORE: Man and two women in a sketch called "The Two Juliets." The sketch went very well and is good in its place. EDWIN LATELL: Minstrel who works in one; had the audience with him all the time. AL. LEECH & THREE ROSEBUDS: Act went strongly here to-day; got the usual laughs, and seems to be placed about right. THREE MARVELLOUS MERRILLS: Bicyclists. A good act to close with, for it holds them in their seats. Dan
