Cook Opera House, Rochester N.Y. Week Nov. 10, 1902 Act Time Set No. 1-Al Leech & Rosebuds 25 full stage The girls are in excellent shape and Leech's comedy goes as well as ever. This act is always a sure hit and well worth the money. Mattie Keene & Co 16 full stage Presenting "Her First Divorce Case," by Ella Wheeler Wilcox. The sketch is fairly well acted and goes surprisingly well. Pleases as well as any sketch we have played this season. No. 3-Felix & Barry 23 full stage Miss Barry makes a hit with her songs and Felix carries away the house with his tumbling. He holds most of his old tricks, Miss Barry has some handsome gowns, and the act makes good emphatically. No.4-Sam Elton 12 full stage While this man is a clever juggler and acrobat, his name is not sufficient importance to pull his money. In order to justify the salary he gets he should be billed as a headliner, and his act doen not warrant being given that prominence. No. 5-Stack & Milton 7 full stage These boys are overpaid, as, aside from the sensational trick with which they finish, their act is no better than that of McPhee and Hill and possibly does not contain so much spectacular work. The closing trick, in which one of them swing from one outside bar to the other, completely clearing the middle one, fairly brings the audience to its feet. No. 6-Les Frasettis 12 full-close in one They play the violin and harp and close with xylophone duet. They are artists, dress handsomely and give a very pleasing turn. No. 7-Louise Brehany 8 all in one By all means the best singing act we play. She uses very good selections and goes tremendously at every performance. Con-sidering the money she gets, her turn is a highly valuable one. No. 8-Swan & O'Day 14 all in one Both are first class dancers, and swan gives promise of becoming an exceptionally good blackface comedian. His methods are somewhat along the same lines as those of McIntyre, of McIntyre and Heath, and he certainly makes 'em laugh. O'Day only a fair feeder. No. 9-Lozelle 11 full stage Without a doubt the best act for the money in vaudeville to-day. He is in splendid shape, and, closing the show, holds them better than any act we have ever closed with, not excepting McIntyre and Heath.
