Hyde & Behman's Week Commencing November 20th, 1902 Grovini & Murray Acrobatic song and dance artists. Are pleasant, healthy looking girls and have a fair opening act, much of which is on the contortion order with some rough and tumble rolling. Work in two Time 10 minutes De Courcy Brothers Hand to hand Athletics. Make fine appearance; many of their tricks are new, and they turn off their work in an easy, effective style which makes good. Worked in one, but should perform in two or three. Time 10 minutes Mr. & Mrs. Edw. Esmonde In "The Soldier of Propville"; a quaint quiet act unusually well handled; Mr. Esmonde dresses and acts the part of the decrepit old man with such skill. Carry their own scenery and props. Full stage; time 20 minutes. The Adamini Trio French Musical Masqueraders. Only a fair act; two men and a woman in fantastic dress, accompany their singing with guitar and violin; the violin solo of Mascagni's "intermezzo" very well done, which is the only feature of act. All in one; time 17 minutes. Most of their selections too operatic for vaudeville. John T. Sullivan & Co. In "Capt. Huntington". A breezy comedy sketch in which Mr. Sullivan is ably supported by Miss Atherton. Some of the comedy falls short, notably the business with the workbasket, which plays too important a part; Sullivan's long speech is very well done and shows the artist; as a whole, a good act; full stage time 28. Mark Sullivan Imitations and Monologue. Does some very clever work, but his selection of proto-types not of the best; they however show his versatility of talent, but the con-ventional evening dress detracts from the effectiveness. His best work is an imitation of two tough vaudeville actors; which makes a decided hit. Allin one; time 17 minutes. Cushman, Holcombe & Curtis "A Winter Session"; two men and a woman in school room act. They always make a hit here, although the comedy is very flat in spots. The country school girl in pinafores, but with silk stockings and French high heeled boots seems rather incongruous; open in 3; close in one. Time 28 minutes. Canfield & Carleton In "The Hoodoo". Are old favorites at this house, though the act is not a new one, it makes a hit; many of the situations are very funny and Miss Carleton's appearance is very pleasing. Use the house man in speaking part. Full stage. Time 21 minutes American Biograph Very fine collection of views; notably the suspension railroad of Bremen, which is most realistic. Goes very well. 16 Min.
