REPORT ON SHOW, KEITH'S THEATRE, PROVIDENCE, R. I. DEC. 22, 1902, ( CHAS. LOVENBERG) Show as a whole is excellent. One of the best we ever had. There is not a poor number on the entire program. Stereoptican. Not reqjuired. Rosseau Brothers. Best three a day act of its kind we have ever had. 8 min. full stage, three shows (3) Inman & Staats. Irish and straight comedy act. This is the weakest turn on the program. Staat's voice is not nearly as good as it used to be, and I hardly consider Inman up to some of his former partners. The act, however, may be rated as fairly good three a day act. 23 min. open three, close in one, 3 shows. Orth & Fern. This is a clever little act with some good trick piano playing, fair comedy and a clever song at the finish. 15 min. open in three close in one. Tom Almond. This act is good beause it is out of the routine of stuff that we get, as long shoe dance and dancing on ice skates on top of a pedestal is all new to this generation of Providence Vaudeville patrons, consequently he went very strong. 13 min. can work in one. Brooks Brothers. Black and white face talking act which may be rated as quite good. Is pretty sure to make a hit if placed early on the bill. 15 min. in one, 3 shows. Delmers & Oneida. Perch set. Exceptionally good three a day turn. 10 min. in one, 3 shows. May Duryea & John Kearney. In a farce called "The Imposter," which has many bright lines and laughable situations and is well played. Miss Duryea's impersonation of an intoxicated woman, while being funny, was quite dainty and refined and not at all offensive. 26 min. full stage, 3 shows. Leona Thurber.and Two good sized colored boys. The usual act of that kind which went very strongly. 15 min. in one, 2 shows. Six Glincerettis. Made the biggest hit of any acrobats we have ever had. 8 min. full stage, 2 shows. Louise Dresser. In an illustrated song burlesque. She is a very handsome woman with a good voice and splendid delivery. Made a hit. 12 min. in one, 2 shows. Cooke & Senera. Same act they had last year which is a conglomeration of nonsense and which goes well with the audience. 21 min. 2 shows, full stage. Jack Norworth. Black-faced comedian. Has some very clever parodies and quite an effective way of delivering his stuff. 15 min. in one, 2 shows. Good Belle Hathaway & Monkeys. Hardly up to some of the other sets of the kind but allowing for the differences in salary it is all right as Monkeys always make a hit anyway. 15 min. full stage 2 shows. Biograph. O. K.
