EYDE & BEHNAN'S Week Commencing December 15th, 1902. [RANEA?] & ARNO Eccentric Comedians. A good opening act; using full stage. Have a dummy figure and one of them does a comedy donkey act on slack wire, which goes well in its absurdity. Close in one. 11 min. FISCH & MCDONOUGH In "Brecky's Temptation". Same old set without change or variation. Are clever artists and as the sketch is well worded and true to slumming life, always finds a ready acceptance with our audience. Full stage and use the house actor in small speaking part. Time 23 min. DOROTHY MORTON Soprano Singer. Is in good voice and makes a handsome concert appearance. Selections are pleasing; works in one. 8 min. BAKER & LYNN In "Electric Boy". Rather a poor attempt at a humorous sketch and therefore receives but mild commendation. These people with a better vehicle for comedy would undoubtedly be able to score, but as it is they fall short. Use the house man with full stage. Time 23 min. LEW HAWKINS Black Face Monologist with songs. Is a capital talker and has some new stuff which is very commendable. Handles his act in a masterly fashion however, and makes good throughout. Works in one. TURNER'S RIALTO BELLES and FLORENCE BURNS The Rialto belles consist of eight women and a leader who render three songs with figure dancing and light effects. The act was good deal of a disappointment and failed to carry. The introduction of Miss Burns at the close of their set proved to be an unprecedented drawing card, filling the house at each performance with the high class audiences, who watched and listened to her short act with engrossed attention. Miss Burn's appearnace was certainly remarkably prepossessing. Used full stage; time 17 minutes. PHROSO A good act that with its mysterious intent causes continued comment. Some of the situations create much laughter and on the whole scores a success. Full stage. Time 9 minutes. DONAHUE & NICHOLS Comedy Duo. Clever act in song and dance; full stage, closing in one. 13 min. LAMAR & GARRIEL Comedians with imitation of Dockstader. Good act; made a hit. Time 17 minutes. MELROSE TROUPE (4) Acrobatic act; fair closing performance. full stage; time 10 minutes. Henry W. Behman
