Report of show given in the Chicago Opera House, Chicago, for week commencing Dec.22. Same show previously appeared in the Olympic and Haymarket theaters, Chicago, and in the Columbia, St. Louis. Three Shows. Ventella and Nina....full stage--carry their own set--10 minutes--one of the best trapeze acts we have ever played--good eough for two a day--men and women The Rapiers....street in 1--13 minutes--mana dn woman--singers and dancers--fair Grust and Grust....full stage--finish in 1--15 minutes--pretty good musical comedians. The Mathieus....in 4--15 minutes--this fellow used to be in the two a day calss and as his work is as good as ever he migth be there now but for the fact that so many have imitated him and he seems to be unable to originate any new tricks. John T.Powers....in 1--16 minutes--Calls himself "The Tommy Atkins of Vaudeville."--nothing extraordinary about his monologue. The Hills....in 3--11 minutes--colored singers and dancers of the ordinary kind--man and woman. TWO SHOWS Mr. & Mrs. Harry Thorne & Co. plain chamber in 3--25 minutes--doing their old but funny farce, "An Uptown Flat," which continues to raise roars of laughter. Raymond and Penn-Guard....box set in 3--finish in 1--14 minutes--This is Alice Raymond, the cornetist--she has parted company with Kurkamp and has a woman from Philadelphia named Penn-Guard who perhaps gives the act better tone than her former male companion At any rate, it goes very well for an insturmental act The Navarres....garden in 3--14 minutes--two men and one woman--Head and hand balancers--a particularly fine act--better this season than ever Macart's Monkeys....box set ion 4--22 minutes--usual success. Bellman and Moore....in 3--20 minutes--man adn woman, in a farcical burlesque skit called "Hester's Promise" that closes with an eccentric dance which goes great--the woman is an extremely hard and conscientious worker--makes a hit. Crawford & Stanley....in 3--15 minutes--a musical comedy specialty. Sisters Macarte....in 3--15 minutes--versatile, good looking and graceful girls, who sing, dance, and do a fine wire act for a finish. Kinedrome pictures appropriate to the Christmas season. (G.E.
