COOK OPERA HOUSE; ROCHESTER, N. Y., WEEK JAN 5, 1903. ACT TIME?MIN SET FOUR OTTS 21 fullstage, closing in one Going very badly witb our audience. These people have outlived their usefulness with us. MAGART'S DOGS AND MONKEYS 16 full stage While the animals are not doing any wonderful tricks, still they work with such vim and good nature that the act more than pleases and is talked about. GRACE BUELL 10 all in one Nice looking little girl, whose apearance is very much in her favor Sings two songs in very pleasing manner. Very good act for the price. MURPHY & NICHOLS 23 full stage Still playing the Bifurcated Girl, which has outlived its usefulness. If these people want to continue to work it will be necessary for them to get a new set. JESS DANDY 14 all in one A good lot of Hebrew parodies. While he has always failed to please here heretofore, this time he has made good. The act has no doubt a lot of good material. FOUR CUTTYS 18 full stage, closing in one Two nice looking young men and two pretty girls. They play with snap and precision on a variety of instruments. Consider it the best straight musical act we have, outside of Klein, Ott Brothers and Nickerson. COLBY & JAY 12 full stage-can close in 1 Man and woman, the man doing ordinary ventriloquist act with two figures and introduced in an electric cabinet a third figure which he calls a dancing doll. Both are clever and entertaining. $175. may be a little too much for them, still they are something in the field of novelty and carry a third man to help operate figures. G: INSERRETTI TROUPE 12 full stage Six men in an excellent straight acrobatic act, their 3-high work being a feature. Two or three of the men are as good gymnasts as we have ever played. Altogether, pleasing and good looking act. NOTE: We will discontinue these reports in the future. B. B. McCALLUM.
