TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. Week Beginning Jany. 18th. Hooker & Davis: Man and woman who do a dancing turn. An ordinary act. 9 minutes full stage. Bellman & Moore: Man and woman who do a talking and singing act. They go big. 20 minutes full stage. Atalie Claire: Vocalist. She has a good voice and handles it in a masterly way. 14 minutes in 1. Colibris Midgets: A novelty only on account of the abridged participants. If the act was managed by a man who had good taste and a knowledge of what was necessary in the way of material, it could be made a great winner. The music that they attempt to sing is so unsuited to their voices that their efforts are not only exceedingly discordant but painful. The ship builder who made the dresses worn by the women must have been very aesthetic (?) for the gowns are decorated with green and yellow ribbon, two colors that harmonize like oil and water. 23 minutes full stage; 3 minutes in 1. Papinta: Second week for this great artist. Her very picturesque and finished performance is too well known to require any comment. 14 minutes full stage. Jess Dandy: Hebrew impersonator and parodist. He keeps his audiences in high glee from his entrance to his exit. He is one of the very best entertainers in his line. 17 minutes in 1. Charley Grapewin & Anna Chance: Presenting the sketch entitled "The Awakening of Pipp." This is one of the best "laugh-exciters" that is being offered to the patrons of vaudeville. 34 minutes full stage. Hayes & Healy: Two men who bill themselves "The Ringmaster and the Circus Queen." They keep their audiences in convulsive laughter from start to finish. 15 minutes full stage. The Heras Family: Seven men and women. This is the prettiest and greatest acrobatic act that ever appeared upon the stage of this theater. Their work, on account of its rapidity, is really marvelous. 10 minutes full stage.
