HOWARD ATHENAEUM, BOSTON, FEBRUARY 16th-03. FRANK L. BROWN, rather a good singer, went big with his first song, others went fair. 10 min. THE MALCOMS-man and woman-the man as a country kid-he tells some quite funny stuff, bot taken as a whole act is very poor. It went poorly. 12 min. BEN WALKER-parodies and stories and topical songs-Is inclined to be off color-went big. 15 min. WILL DOCKRAY-monologue, very good, went finely-10 min. THE LASKEYS- man and woman-very neat musical act-fine-good dressers-went big-15 min. TALKATIVE MISS NORTON-cannot sing at all-talks rather brightly and has a winning way about her-went finely-10 min. HOWARD & HARRIS- man and woman in comedy sketch-the woman is a contortion dancer and is very clever-the man is a good comedian, and they can both sing-went big. 22 min. HOYT & NEFF- two men in talking and singing act-are very good-act is funny-went fairly- 13 min. JOHN MAYON & CO.- the man is little, the woman is big, but act did not seem to catch on-rather funny-went poorly-15 min. LEW HAWKINS- went big-he told several stories that are not fit for a refined house-20 min. DILLON BROS-the hits of the show-parodies are a bit shady-the last one decidedly rank-10 min. FREDERICK-magacian- he is very clever and pleases- WILL DOCKERAY-told a few new jokes and sang a new song from his act of last week-went fairly-10 min. FRAZIER, WALSH & Winters-three men n a comedy and boxing act-Were very poor-went poorly-10 min. CASHORE & FLORENCE-man and woman in a German singing and talking act- a very quiet act-fair-went poorly-10 min. PETE GRIFFIN-a favorite here-clever--dancer-went big-12 min. BRAUNECK SISTERS & CHULIA-in a very fine dancing act-they have a very weak voices, but dancing is all right-went fairly. 13 min. ELSIE BERNARD- monologue and songs- a very nice act, a pretty woman, but went only fairly-8 min. WESSON & WALTERS CO- in a comedy-went big. There is a lot of fun and a cute boy- 17 min. CARRIE SCOTT-a good looking woman, but her voice is gone-she has a clever little coon and they manage to go big-12 min. QUAKER CITY QUARTETTE0- four men-went ijmmense-are fine-28 min. CARVER & POLLARD- two women-one very pretty, the other ugly-both tall and narrow-rsther good singers-an odd act-but so very disjointed and with so little really good stuff, only a fair act-went fairly-8 min. FAUST TRIO-two men and a woman-the men are clever acrobts, one a contornist-the woman does some crazy accting and then the doll business cleverely-an act worked quick-went big-18 in.
