266 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. Week beginning May 18th. THE CHAMBERLAINS: A man and a woman who do a novelty act with the lasso. Their exhibition of the cowboy's skill and pranks with the lariat is exceedingly interesting. 13 minutes full stage. BUTTON & BROOKS: Two men who do a "gagging" and singing turn. Although considerable of their stuff is rather antique there is enough of it new and original to get "them laughing heartily". 15 minutes in 3 and 5 minutes in one. THE COLUMBIAN TRIO: Composed of two young girls and a man. Both of the girls are clever but the smallest one of the duo is a marvel. Her imitation of a wax doll, singing, dancing and piano playing can not be praised too highly. All in all an excellent act. 15 minutes in 3 and 5 minutes in 1. RUSSELL BROTHERS: They are assisted by a man and a woman in the presentation of their new sketch entitled "A Romance of New Jersey." Their work does not differ material from what they have heretofore done. They catch the major portion of the audience and catch it hard. 29 minutes full stage and 5 minutes in 1. CULVER'S CYCLE SENSATION: This is the second week for it. It is a poor imitation of Tom Eyck's wheel; the one that Lottie Brandon performed on. It ought to be turned down for it is an imposition on theater-goers. ESTHER FEE: Violinist. A fair act. 9 minutes in 1. SAGER MIDGELY & GERTIE CARLISLE: In "Taking a Tonic." It is unnecessary to go into detail regarding this pair. Midgley is an artist and always makes good. His partner is a clever, chic and pretty young woman. 21 minutes full stage and two minutes in 1. FOUR RIANOS: Three men and a woman who do a comedy acrobatic turn. They carry their own scenery. Their work is good and original. It is a laugh-provoker. 14 minutes full stage. THE AMERICAN BIOGRAPH: Always a hit.
