O B.F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME. March 13th 1911--Cleveland, Ohio--------- H. A. Daniels. GREAT RICHARDS. In 2 spec plush. Time 10. Female impersonator. Good dancer. fair singer. Closes with an attractive serpentine dance, recalling Papinta's style. Good light effects. Closed to good hand. HUGH McCORMACK & GRACE WALLACE In 2 special drop. The man and woman are excellent ventriloquists. They have an amusing little episode called, "Fun At The Seaside" in which four "dummies" take part. First rate. HERMINE SHONE & CO. Special F.S. Cabin interior. 3 women, 2 men. Time 23. Offering "The Little Goddess." This is the same old act offered by Emmett De Voy around the circuit, with a few alterations. After a dreary period of about fifteen minutes, they get a few laughs chiefly through fireworks and profanity. KARL. In 1. Time 25. Plays on a one string "cigar-box" violin. Good when he keeps on the proper key; but nothing alarming even then. MCCONNELL & SIMPSON. Man & woman. C.D.F. Time 24. A great laughing sketch called "A Stormy Hour." The interpolations by teh woman are unusually diverting and received big applause. MUSICAL SELECTION & PHOTOPLANE PICTURES. HAL DAVIS & INEZ MACAULEY F.S. Interior. Time 18. A sketch called, "One Christmas Eve." Very dreary. Hopeless. Talk, talk, talk ad lib. ANDREW MACK. Time 24. In 1. Assisted by pianist. Starts fairly well but not up to the headline calibre. It takes a little imagination to believe that his voice has once been better. His stories however are very good. He closes strong with simple little "coon song." CE'DORA. assisted by boy. Time 7. The two do some thrilling riding on bicycles within a huge steel network globe. However, the real "thriller" is when De'Dora rides a motor cycle around the interior of the globe fifteen or twenty times "looping the loop." This is a great closing feature and rivets the audience to their seats. She received a rousing hand at the finish. Note: Three Sketches on this bill. The plots all with household quarrels between husband and wife. The wicked husbands all drink cold tea whiskey to prove they are devilish. In a two hour and a half show the orchestra plays almost 30 minutes. This week's offering talks the audience to death.
