C.E. BARNS. MAR. 20, 1911. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. LeRENZO & LaDUE. 5 min. F.S. Two fine athletes who work entirely in the spotlight on the trapeze against a black background. Feats are of the regulation order with one or two new ones. Make a very exceptional opener. HATHAWAY, KELLY & MACK. 13 min. in one. Two pretty girls who do a very good dancing work, with one change of costume. The baritone singer has an exceptional voice and received the greater majority of the applause. Held the spot all right, and closed well. CLAUD & FANNIE USHER. 29 min. F.S. "Fagan's Decision." Well known act that made the usual hit. Held the audience in rapt attention throughout and closed big. SHARKEY, GEISLER & LEWIS. 16 min. in one. Three young men who make a fine appearance. Two of them are excellent vocalists, while the third presides at the piano. Most of their material is of the ragtime order, but is full of life, ginger and fun, and that is what the people want. Their first appearance here was a decided hit, every one of their numbers going great and closed strong. DAN BURKE & WONDER GIRLS. Advance applause. 16 min. F.S. The veteran dancer holds his own in fine shape and has surrounded himself with very pretty girls who dance well and make a pretty picture with Miss Mollie Moller who is particularly clever. The stage setting is effective. The instrumental number where the young girls play the musical bells with their feet while lying on their backs, received applause. Closed very well. LOU ANGER. 14 min. in one. Received big advance applause, being a Philadelphia boy and a great favorite here. Gave his original monologue, most of while has not been heard here before and all of it good, getting plenty of laughs. Closed strong. DUSTIN FARNUM & CO. "The Littlest Rebel." 33 min. F.S. All the excellent reports thoroughly justify it. One of the strongest one-act plays ever seen in vaudeville, admirably presented with a little child actress who is simply a wonder in the part of "the Littlest Rebel." Held the audience spellbound throughout and closed very strong with several curtain calls. Believe that this feature will be widely talked about and will draw well. LEONARD & RUSSELL. 22 min. in one. Mr. Leonard made a strong hit this afternoon with his songs and the act gathered in strength right up to the finish where he actually stopped the show, and was compelled to give one of his famous [old?]-time favorites, after which the audience was willing to let him go. A well deserved hit. THREE ATHLETAS. 10 min. F.S. Very stunning gymnasts who go through the regulation "strong" act with dumb-bells and lifting. Made a good impression, received applause throughout and closed good. KINETOGRAPH. "Max is almost Married." GEN. REM. Everybody seemed greatly pleased with the show all the way through, It is without any weak spot or waits. It certainly ought to give us good business for the balance of the week. CUT. EDDIE LEONARD. Expression, "You don' mean what I mean." Pawtucket R.I. Music Hall 3 days March 16--17--18 Mr & Mrs Jack McGee Comedy sketch. singing and talking. talking very funny. 12 minutes in one, went very good.
