Report of PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of April 24, 1911. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. The show played very well with about the coldest audience I have seen here in many a day, only two or three of the acts getting any great applause. POLLARD Comedy juggler. Good opening act. 12 Min. F. S. Close in One. COLE & JOHNSON'S SAMBO GIRLS This act is a little disappointing. Moved them up to this spot because they didn't seem to be able to do very well further down and for a No. 2 spot the price is rather excessive. Want to say, however, that while the early part of the act dragged the finish was good. 20 Min. in Two. MABEL BARDINE & CO. In a sketch called "Jim Grantley's Wife." This is a good sketch with which the audience were evidently pleased. Contains many bright lines; is fairly well acted and splendidly dressed. At the price it doesn't seem to me that anybody can make a mistake in playing it. 15 Min. F.S. AUGUSTA GLOSE I am afraid that Miss Glose will have to assure me of some new material before we play her again. She went only mildly today. 17 Min. in One. SWOR & MACK Blackface comedy act which got plenty of laughs but quit rather mildly from the applause standpoint. 19 Min. in One. "THE OPERATIC FESTIVAL" As the act only plays one more week after this, this season a review would be superfluous. 30 Min. F. S. MARY NORMAN In character types. Went very well indeed, in fact was among the hits of the show. 18 Min. in One. BERTISCH Strong Man. I don't know that I have ever seen a better act of this kind. 10 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K. Music Hall Pawtucket R. I. 3 days April 27--28--29 Coyle & Morrell Man and woman, comedy sketch "Your Credit is Good" a fair sketch, played fair. 14 minutes, went fair Quinn Trio Two men and a woman, singing and dancing, dressed well. 15 minutes in one, just went fair Geo W. Moore Juggler. 12 minutes, very ordinary, just went fair 6 O'Connor Sisters All week. going very well David R Buffinton
