BALTIMORE REPORT Maryland Theatre - Week of April 24th 1911 Marseilles - Seven Minutes F.S. Own Set - Good opening act, his contortion work being set off in showmanlike manner by his white costume against black back-ground. Siegel and Matthews - 10 Minutes in one - Man and Woman playing banjos and other instruments - Got by all right in this spot. Walsh, Lynch and Co., in "Huckins Run" 22 Minutes F.S. special set - This "rube" act went well. Hoey and Lee - 14 Minutes in one - These Hebrew comedians have made many friends here, and their parodies are timely. Edward Abeles and Charlotte Lander - 21 Minutes F.S. - Abeles sketch "He Tried to be Nice" seemed to appeal to the women in the audience, and was a hit throughout. Russell and smith's Minstrels - 24 Minutes in 2. Special Set - Five men who sing well, and give an imitation of an old Style Minstrel Show - Their work is all well received, and the moving picture March song went especially well. Harry Breen - 18 Minutes in one - As big a hit as ever with his extemporaneous songs. The Eight Berlin Madcaps - 10 Minutes F.S. Their acrobatic specialties and dancing pleases as much as ever. The Coventrys - Novelty Musical Entertainers. Received only fair. 13 min. in 3. Ida Russell and Grace Church - in their protean comedy "From Society to the Bowery" went good. 14 min. in one. Mr. and Mrs. Meymott - in their comedy sketch "His Wife's Burglar" a very good comedy sketch with lots of laughs all the way through. 13 min. in 3. Mel Eastman - singing monologuist. Very good. 18 min. in one. Maud Lillian Berri and Co. - in her operetta "Cupid and Kilts" went big. 24 min. fullstage, own scenery in three scenes. Howard and North - presented "Back at Wellington" went very big. 24 min. in one, own drop. Zazell Vernon and Co. - acrobatic pantomine "An Elopement" closed show very good. 16 min. full stage, own set. Motion Pictures - O. K.
