FIFTH AVENUE THEATRE REPORT OF WEEK --- May 29 1911 THE GRAIGS Light Interior. F.S. 14 Mins Nice appearing man and woman playing various vaudeville instruments, together and singly, notably cow bells, sleigh bells and dulcimar. Nice little act for opening. GLEN ELLISON Dr 1 12 Mins Musical comedy Englishman who sings three songs but does not create any great excitement; has a nice appearance, but his work is more a drawing room style than for vaudeville. BARNES AND CRAWFORD C.D.F. Close in 1 22 Mins Mr Barnes has a line of talk, some of it funny, on the style of Henry Clive, whom he evidently copies, only he is a long way from the original. The woman does little except act feeder. JOE JACKSON F.S. Gar 4 11 Mins Here is a man who does less with a bicycle than any act I have seen, and yet I should say it was the best bicycle act we have played. This man is a genuine comedian and gets more fun out of little things than one would think possible. He keeps our audiences thoroughly interested and is what might be called a big hit. ELIDA MORRIS Olio In 1 14 Mins Miss Morris does four songs and changes, closing with a dance as a boy. She has a nice voice and is graceful and nice appearing. This is an excellent act for the money and could go on any bill. LOLO F.S. Special Close 1 25 Mins This is the biggest mind reading act I have ever seen, and if the weather gives her a chance should draw some money. Her shooting feats are puzzling to everyone and she greatly interests. MELODY MONARCHS D 2 26 Mins Four people;- three of them play piano, and one tries to sing. They get by but would never be missed. COOK & LORENZ Open 1. Hall. Close 1 21 Mins Two tramps with some funny business and plenty of rough stuff; they are funny in a vaudeville way but suffer by comparison with Joe Jackson's artistic work. FOUR BARDS Palace- F S. --Close 1 11 Mins One of the best and neatest acrobatic acts. Their work is clean and neat, and they perform some wonderful feats of strength and daring and put a nice close to a generally good show. DAYLIGHT MOTION PICTURES "Stirring Days In Old Virginia." Picture of Civil War, suitable for "Decoration Day. R. E. Irwin M'g'r
