BOSTON SHOW - WEEK - MAY - 29, 1911. R. G. Larsen. (Monday night.) AERIAL SMITHS. 9 minutes f.s. this is by far and away one of the best acts of the kind we have played. Could go far down on a bill and make a hit. The work is fast and sensational every minute. PAULINE WELCH. 12 minutes in one. this is a single woman and while all right for a summer show is hardly strong enough for the big time. Although with the warm weather audiences of to-day it is hardly fair to pass final judgement. FRANKIE CARPENTER & JERE GRADY & CO. "The Butterfly." 18 minutes in three. This sketch held the spot in good shape and got lots of laughs to-day. Has much improved since the last time I saw it when Frankie Carpenter was not in the cast. MARIMBA BAND OF SOUTH AMERICAN PLAYERS. 15 minutes in two. this is a real novelty. Four men and a leader and the music they get out of the marimba is different from most anything we have had and got a big hand. CARLE STOWE. Monologuist. 16 minutes in one. Stowe is a Boston man who when tried out at the 5th Avenue one Sunday night made a very favorable impression. I have played him several Sunday nights here and he made good. to-day, notwithstanding the warm weather, he got his stuff over in good shape and had them laughing. MEYERS, WARREN & LYON. 25 minutes f.s. close in one. doing the same sketch as last time. Going as well as ever, Miss Meyers being the bright particular star. RYAN-RICHFIELD CO. In "Mag Haggerty Oseopath." 24 minutes f.s. this wellknown sketch got all kinds of laughs to-day. "LITTLE BILLY." 15 minutes in one. Plush drop. Little billy's act is by far and away ahead of what it was last year, and he held both this spot and the headline position about as well as any summer attraction we have played. HILL, CHERRY & HILL. Comedy cyclists. 9 minutes f.s. A good lively closing act for this season of the year. Music Hall Pawtucket R. I. June 5--6--7 3 Toyiko Japs Man, girl and boy, foot juggling, acrobats ect. nicely dressed, clever. 8 minutes, went fine Baker & Murray Man and woman, singing, talking and dancing, dressed well good dancers. 15 minutes in one, went very well Belle Hathaways Monkeys 3 people, plenty of monkeys, well trained. 10 minutes, funny, went very well David R Buffinton
