FIFTH AVENUE THEATRE REPORT OF WEEK --- JUNE 12th 1911 FIELD BROTHERS Hall 2 10 Mins. Dancing act, very neat and opens show well. WARREN, LYON & MYERS C.D.F. 2- Close 1--22 Mins. Two women and man. Miss Warren has nice voice - Miss Myers is a graceful dancer. The act has little or not plot or comedy & the selections are threadbare including such novelties as "Yip Iady Iaye". Greatly overpaid. INGE & FARRELL Olio 1 15 Mins. Two girls, singing and dancing. One of them nice appearing and nice voice. A very acceptable act and closes strong; in fact their opening and closing numbers are the best of the act. MAY TULLY & CO. F.S. Int. 21 Mins. "Battle Cry of Freedom". A very novel and brightly written vaudeville vehicle employing three people beside Miss Tully, one girl, man and a boy all acceptable. Get many laughs and starts the show going. LILIAN HERLEIN Hall 2- Own Drop. 27 Mins. Prima Donna. Hebraic looking woman of voluptuous figure and nice voice & handsome costumes. Her opening song is the best and from this point her act drops. Her closing number includes a disrobing scene in a bath house which is a little strong for houses outside New York and amounts to little anyway as it is badly lighted as is also the water effect at the finish. I should not call the act a strong headliner and in fact is the weak spot of this show. She also has the bad habit of forcing her bows and taking calls without sufficient encouragement. POUCHOT'S FLYING BALLET Wood- F.S. 19 Mins. This being the first week this act will greatly improve by working and should prove very acceptable on any bill. I do not mean to infer by this that the act is not now in good shape as it has been doing excellently well here and taking more than ordinary curtains for a sight act. It is a very pretty spectacle and well worked by six girls in beautiful costumes. An added novelty is the finish where one of the girls flies over the audience nearly to the gallery rail scattering flowers. A great act for Jack Wilson to follow. BERT FITZGIBBON Street 1 16 Mins Here is the bargain of the season; anyone not having this man booked should grab quick as for the price he is the cheapest act in the business and will make good in any spot on any bill. We have paid four and five times his money for single men that for laughs and applause can't touch him. FOUR LONDONS Garden.F.S. 9 Mins. A great casting act, doing all the usual tricks and some yet. The men being heavier than usually seen in these acts make their feats seem even more difficult. Held this closing position nicely and not overpaid at the price. KINETOGRAPH Sheet Max Embarrassed. (Pathe) - A good comedy film. Note:- A very good show on the whole and for amusement and pleasing qualities, compares favorably with many of the more costly winter bills. Robert E. Irwin M'gr.
