FIFTH AVENUE THEATRE REPORT ON SHOW --- WEEK OF JUNE 26Th, 1911. ASAKI BROTHERS GARDEN F. S. 12 MINUTES. Skating, juggling etc. Very good little act. WESTON, FIELDS & CARROLL OLIO 1. 10 MINUTES. Three boys and a piano. Another back room act, but a very good one, in fact prefer them to Stepp, Mehlinger & King, regardless of price. go big here. BERT COOTE & CO. "A LAMB ON WALL STREET" INTERIOR. 20 MINUTES. Excellent comedy vehicle for Mr. Coote, who is very funny. Support is Fair. For the number of times around, goes big. SUSANNE ROCAMORA OLIO 1. 10 MINUTES. Pretty girl, neat and rapid changes and showy voice. Goes well. DOLAN & LENHARR PLUSH 2. 26 MINUTES. "SOME MIND READER" Some comedy and work in the audience supposed to expose mind reading. Gets some laughs, but not over refined. SUMIKO SPECIAL F. S. 12 MINUTES. Japanese prima donna who has a beautiful setting representing Japanese wood, seen through an arch with fujiyana in the back ground. Act opens with some light effects for a few seconds, till Sumiko makes her entrance in a ricksha preceeded by two Geishas with lanterns. She sings one song, in the ricksha, alights, sings another, exits for change and after another song closed with "Steam-boat Bill", one verse in English and one in Japanese. She has a leader in native costume who cant lead, but looks effective, also a ricksha bearer and two Geishas. We made use of the latter in distributing programs and passing iced tea in the audience. This was really the best of the act. Her voice is not very big, nor exceptional, but the novelty of American rag-time sung by a Japanese really saved the act, and added to the good impression created by the scenery, got it over. The act has the possibilities of advertising and something might be done with it by a manager capable of handling high class acts. The newspaper publicity and some little printing done by the house saved the day, but the act should be circused, in doing which however, we could get little co-operation. DIAMOND & NELSON OLIO. 23 MINUTES. Comedian and pretty girl. Singing and dancing. This act was the hit of the show and went big. LA TOY BROTHERS C. D. F. 11 MINUTES. Acrobatic pantomime. Very good tumbling, and some comedy. Went very well. KINETOGRAPH "STABILITY AND MOBILITY" Fair film with some comedy. NOTE;- A very fair summer show. Robert E Irwin Manager
