BOSTON SHOW - WEEK AUGUST 28 - 1911. (R. G. Larsen.) THE PELOTS. 16 minutes f.s. close in one. These old timers opened the show in great shape to-day and had them laughing all through. WHITTLE. Ventriloquist. 14 minutes f.s. this is a rather quiet act, with a fair line of stuff, but is rather significant that he seems to do more time than he really does. RAY & ROGERS. 17 minutes in one. A very good act in one for an early spot, and went very well here to-day. although there were spots in it that were rather tame. HARRY H. RICHARDS & CO. IN "HALLUCINATIONS." 19 minutes f.s. this comedy sketch filled the spot in the bill very well, with lots of laughs. SAM HOLDSWORTH. 11 minutes in one. Mr. Holdsworth is 82 years old, and is billed as the oldest professional tenor on the stage. He makes a splendid appearance, dresses well, has white hair and mustache, and got a big hand on his appearance. Every number went well, and he made a strong close. In fact, he proved to be a decided novelty, and made good with the singing besides. FLANAGAN & EDWARDS. 17 minutes open in one close f.s. Doing the old Flanagan & Cameron act with few changes, and going as well as ever. MURRAY & LANE. 18 minutes in one. They had an entirely new programme to-day and went first-rate, although with tightening up and less uncertainty, it ought to go very much better to-night. ROSS & FENTON IN "JUST LIKE A WOMAN." 17 minutes f.s. There are lots of laughs in this act, and the members got a reception this afternoon, but it seems hardly strong enough for the headline position in the way of a sketch. FELIX ADLER. 14 minutes in one. Holding this spot in good shape. Although doing about the same line of stuff as when here before. AURORA TROUPE. 16 minutes f.s. It is rather unfortunate that we have to play this act at the close of the show. but the audience waited for it this afternoon and I think made as big a hit here as it did in other places. CUTS - Harry H. Richards - "what the devill." Music Hall, Pawtucket, R. I. Week of Aug. 31, Sept. 1-2 Elliott & Neff - man and woman- Comedy Novelty - "The Bellboy and the Show Girl" - Singing and Talking - 18 min. - Went good Musical Stewards - 2 men - Comedy Musical - Playing Instruments and Talking - 20 min. - Went great. - Minerva Courtney - Going good
