REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK AUGUST 28TH. 1911. --- W. W. PROSSER. THE DENNIS BROS. -- Revolving ladder act, one man doing comedy, the other straight. This is an excellent offering and possesses many novel features. The act held the attention throughout and finished strong. Garden in 4, 6 minutes. NEVINS & GORDON: Man and woman in a pretty singing, talking, and dancing number. The act was pleasing all the way through. It has class and style. Won applause frequently, finished strong. Olio in 1, 15 minutes. LANCTON, LUCIER & CO: This is a strong comedy number and scored heavily throughout, making a very favorable impression, finished strong. Dark, fancy in three, 21 minutes. Honor Among Thieves: A very meritous sketch presented by an all male cast, and decidedly away from the beaten path. There is good dramatic value, a dash of comedy, and capable players in the enactment. Went well with a very strong finish. Light fancy in three, 21 minutes. CHICK SALE: Presenting his protean offering, "A Country School Entertainment". This player is an artist of the first water. He made an unusually strong hit and the house would hardly let him go. His offering is a genuine success from beginning to end. Special drop in one, 20 minutes. PAUL DICKEY AND COMPANY; IN THE COLLEGE COMEDY "THE COMEBACK": This is a crackerjack comedy. There is a great part for Mr. Dickey, and the other roles are decidedly worth while. The story is well told and there was unflagging interest. Mr. Dickey's personal success was great. His company rendered him valuable assistance. Finishes very strong. Several curtain calls. Special set in three, 19 minutes. FRANK FOGERTY IN THE DUBLIN MINSTREL: This popular entertainer had them with him all the time, winning many a laugh and finished strong. Street in one, 22 minutes. THE FOUR LADELLAS: Acrobatic number. Two men doing comedy and two straight Finished moderately strong. Palace in four, 6 minutes. MOTION PICTURE O.K. Bijou Theatre, Pawtucket, R. I.
