BOSTON SHOW WEEK SEPTEMBER 25, 1911. (R. G. Larsen.) (Monday Night Show.) DENNIS BROTHERS. 7 minutes f.s. A good fast acrobatic act on the revolving ladder that started things off in good shape to-day. TIM CRONIN. 13 minutes in one. Cronin has considerable new stuff from what he had at the 5th Ave., and is working "straight." Did not get over this afternoon, but to-night with considerable stuff expurgated, he just about got by. THREE KEATONS. 22 minutes f.s. close in one. Doing considerable new stuff and going first rate, although following Cronine made it hard for them. FLORENTINE SINGERS. 23 minutes f.s. close in one. This is unquestionably the best troupe of singers in this particular class that we have had here in a long time. They have the usual routine of operatic airs and close with Annie Laurie, and every number got a big hand. The act as a whole was thoroughly satisfactory from a singing standpoint. LES MARQUADS. 7 minutes f.s. open in one. This act was booked with the understanding that it was to have a new set to replace the old one used in the Folies Bergere which had been ruined by water. Nevertheless they showed up with the same old drop to-day, and we are obliged to work them in a house set, and it is not at all advisable considering the nature of the act they do. The act, however, made a tremendously strong close, and it all leads up to the whirlwind dance at the end with the furniture smashing, etc. RALPH SMALLEY. 12 minutes in one. Smalley is a member of the Boston Symphony orchestra and is playing this week before joining the Symphony. Went very big here to-day, especially to-night. WILFRED CLARKE & CO IN "THE DEAR DEPARTED." 16 minutes f.s. special set. This farce held down this difficult spot in good shape. The action is fast, with plenty of laughs, and it proved one of the distinct features of the bill. Closed very well. JARVIS & HARRISON. 16 minutes in one. This man and girl have an original line of material and chatter, most of which went very well. Held this hard spot in very good shape and closed well with a soft shoe dance. HOUDINI. 23 minutes f.s. Still using the picture, but a new one this week. To-day and tonight he did his can trick and to-morrow afternoon he gets out of a mammoth turtle that has been on exhibition here for some time and has arranged several challenges for the week. The new stunts are awakening quite a bit of interest, and we expect that he will more than make good. Music Hall, Pawtucket Week of Oct 23-24-25 Clare & West - 2 men - Singing, Dancing, Pianologue - 8 min in one went fair Clarence Sisters & Brother - Spectacular Novelty - Fine Scenery - and changes - 12 min - went good Brown & Hodges - man and woman - Singers and Cartoonists 7 min in one - went big Jas. Kennedy & Co - 2 men, 2 women, 1 boy - Comedy Sketch - "Looking for Father" - 21 min - went great
