BOSTON SHOW WEEK OCTOBER 2, 1911. (R. G. Larsen.) (Monday night show.) BERT MELROSE. 12 minutes f.s. A first class acrobatic tumbling act that got laughs all through and opened the show in great shape. THE THUNDERBOLTS. 12 minutes in one, special drop. This English team offers nothing very new or novel in the way of musical acts, but they went very well in this spot at both shows to-day. HARLAN KNIGHT & CO IN "THE CHALK LINE." 25 minutes f.s. special set. This is a rural comedy sketch with three characters, with a mixture of comedy and pathos. Is a little long drawn out, but got laughs all through and closed well at both shows. HILDA HAWTHORNE. 14 minutes in one. Miss Hawthorne proved one of the features of the show, going very big at both performances. GARDNER & STODDARD. 19 minutes f.s. close in one. In a melange of singing, dancing, cornet playing, and bell ringing, that went first rate. Got plenty of laughs and closed strong. SALERNO. 17 minutes f.s. The best juggling act we play. Made a decided hit at both shows to-day. KATE WATSON. 12 minutes in one. Miss Watson has not made much change in her material since last appearing here. She found it pretty hard sledding at first following Marie Stoddard, who uses a makeup very similar to Miss Watson's but she god laughs all through and closed well. GUS EDWARDS' SONG REVUE. 36 minutes f.s. special sets. Edwards' act this season is along the same general lines as the one he gave us last year. There are several new numbers and he has elaborated some of the older feature. We sold out completely this afternoon, and had a very good house to-night, and there can be no doubt but that Edwards' act is the magnet. Went big at both shows to-day. NO CUTS. Music Hall, Pawtucket, R. I. Week of Nov. 20-21-22 Pearl Stearns & Co. - 2 men, 1 woman - Comedy Sketch:- "Her Husband's Friend" - 14 min - went good The Great Dixon - Musical Clown - 12 min - went good Rutan's Song Birds (2 men, 1 boy, 1 girl) - "Comedy Singing" - 17 min - went great Jewell's Manikins - Novelty Maronettes - 18 min went good
