REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW, WEEK OF OCTOBER 2 --- W.W. PROSSER. THE JUGGLING BURKES:- Two young men in a club juggling act of excellent value. Their work is quick and showman-like throughout and their various stunts were well received, applause being frequent and a very strong finish was scored. Terrace in two, 9 min. (This act is open) WATSON AND LITTLE:_ Man and woman in a classy little singing and talking number, "A Matrimonial Bargain". Both have pleasing voices and both are good lookers. The woman makes a particularly striking appearance. They have a good line of talk, all of which seemed to catch on very well, none of the points being missed, and most of them getting over in good shape. They sing nicely, and all in all the act was thoroughly satisfactory from start to finish, and pleasing throughout. The finish was strong. Olio in one, 17 minutes. (This act is open) THE OLD SOLDIER FIDDLERS:- They were given an ovation at the rise of the curtain and had not the slightest trouble in arousing unqualified enthusiasm. A sure-fire hit all the way through with bows galore. Special in three and street in one, 28 minutes. (This act goes to Dayton. FELIX AND CAIRE:- This well-known pair was seen in this town for the first time today. Their opening number was but fairly well received but subsequent to that they had everything their own way. Their songs and dances as well as their impersonations were unmistakable hits. The finish was very strong. Center door, fancy in two and olio in one, 21 minutes. (This act goes to Cincinnati). WILL ROGERS:-"The Oklahoma Cowboy". This fellow was a riot. His inimitable bits of talk in conjunction with his dexterity with ropes and lariats made the biggest kind of a hit. We went like a cyclone throughout and could hardly get away. Garden in five and conservatory in one, 19 minutes. (This act goes to New York) CHARLES LEONARD FLETCHER AND COMPANY:-In "His Nerve", a legitimate playlet of the Raffles type, which was admirable presented. The story is a dramatic offering of sufficient strength to maintain undivided interest throughout. The story is well worked out, and the success of the star and his associates was pronounced. There were several bows. Library set in four, 22 minutes. (This act goes to Syracuse). NELLIE NICHOLS:- This clever comedienne came out and established herself thorough with the audience with her repertoire of songs. She all but stopped the show. She was a big hit from start to finish. Olio in one, 14 minutes. THE RIALS:- Man and woman in a comedy novelty offering of the flying ring order, including juggling and tumbling. The woman works straight and the man impersonates a dude. This act went well and finished strong. Palace in four, 9 minutes (This act is open) MOVING PICTURES:---O.K. Music Hall, Pawtucket, R. I. Week of Nov. 23-24-25 Cycling Brunettes - 2 men - Comedy on Wheels - 8 min went good The Drapers - man and woman - Comedy Duo - 17 min - went good Rutan's Song Birds - Going big Jewell's Manikins - Going good
