FIFTH AVENUE THEATRE REPORT. Oct. 9th. 1911. Gordon Bros. & Kangaroo Wood 8 Min. Two men who give an exhibition of bag punching and close with a burlesque boxing match with the kangaroo. The animal does not seem to work very well and in fact can hardly be coaxed to stand on his hind legs let alone box. A Very tame exhibition that went for little and the entire act lacks any class. The Kemps Olio 1 17 Min. Colored entertainers, man and women who do a little talking, singing and dancing. The man has a fair voice, but the act does not seem to get over to any extent. 5th. Ave #2. White and Stuart "Cherie" C. D. F. 26 Min. The same old sketch, and good as it was originally. I suppose most of our audience have seen it several times, and it is not therefore much at fault of the applause was not tumultuous. Big City Four Olio 1 15 Min. The quartette have good voice and their selections are well chosen. Following their six others acts with singing they did well. The Rials Pal F. S. 11 Min. Ring Act, man and women, who do nothing out of the ordinary, and are a fair small act. Kinetograph. Pathe's Weekly. Note. The show contains no drawing cards and in fact no New York headliner. Seven of the nine acts have some singing if not entirely composed of that branch of entertainment and the show is therefore monotonous and uninteresting. With three sketches, and no novelty in any of them, I can not look forward to a very big week. Robert E Irwin Manager.
