BOSTON SHOW WEEK OCTOBER 16 - 1911. (R. G. Larsen.) (Monday Night Show.) LES MONTFORDS. 10 minutes f.s. A very fair opening act with foreign comedy that does not more than get over. R A G TRIO. 14 minutes in one. Three men and a piano, and a fair line of stuff, but did not do much better than fill the spot. CHARLES KELLOGG. "THE MAN WHO SINGS LIKE A BIRD." 25 minutes f.s. Second week and going as well as ever. CARLIE and PENN. 19 minutes drop in two, open and close in one. Fair German comedy act and held this spot in good shape, getting lots of laughs. MADAM SUMIKO. 12 minutes f.s. special set. We have worked Sumiko up considerably in our advertising, with receptions and one thing and another, and her attendants are serving tea in the lobby. There is a good element of novelty and she gets by with her singing. We will have to wait until later in the week to see about business. MORRIS and ALLEN. 7 minutes in one. Hebrew comedians singing Irish songs. When all the objectionable stuff was eliminated today, they had barely eight minutes left, although I was told they they had an abundance of good stuff and did not have to use the blue. PAUL DICKEY and CO IN "THE COME BACK." 25 minutes f.s. special set. A mighty good comedy act with a scream of a finish, but there are other acts answering the purpose just as successfully for less money. HEIM CHILDREN. 18 minutes in one. Holding the spot in good shape and going as big here as they ever went. HICKEY'S COMEDY CIRCUS. 10 minutes f.s. One of the best acts of the kind, and as far as comedy is concerned, is ahead of Berzac's. COMMENT. We have four acts on the bill to-day that want to sing "Alexander's Rag-time BAnd." Something should be done. CUTS - Bud Heim - wiggles movements: R A G Trio modify "Casey Jones" parody; Carlin and Penn - "landed on her birthday;" Morris and Allen parody on "Wintertime" and joke about having eight children all at one time; Paul Dickey "Hell."
