GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. J.P. Harris, Week Nov. 6th, 1911. LA TOY BROS. 9 Min. Interior in 3. Comedy acrobats. This is a very good act. While we are opening the show with, they are really good enough for No. 3. FIVE MELODY MAIDS and SAM HERMAN. 15 Min. Palace. Full Stage. Four ladies playing piano with songs and patter. This is not a good act. We are playing them No. 2 and I am sure that they could not get by any lower on the bill. They are entirely too expensive for this position. WARREN & KEEFE. "The Comedian and the Yodler." 21 Min. in One. I consider this a much better act than Warren & Blanchard. They are going very big with us. RICE & COHEN. 26 min. Interior. "A Bachelor's Wife." A good sketch with very capable players. COLONIAL SEPTETTE. 21 Minutes. Special. I really think this act better than ever. They got very good applause all through and several bows at the finish. The scenery is in good shape and the costumes very fine. BUD FISHER. 15 minutes in 2. Special drop. Newspaper cartoonist- "Mutt and Jeff" subjects. While I do not consider this a great act, I think he is as good if not a shade better than any of the cartoonists we have played. This added with his reputation on account of the "Mutt and Jeff" cartoons, has been responsible for his being a big hit with us. I am sure that he has brought a lot of money to us. BOWERS, WALTERS and CROOKER. "The Three Rubes." 12 Minutes. Wood in 3. Closing 3 minutes in One. A great big hit; bigger than ever before. NELLIE NICHOLS. 15 Minutes. Went as big as any single woman we have played in a long while. Singing four songs and taking several bows at the finish. SAUNDERS TROUPE. 7 Minutes. Garden in 3. A very good closing act. One of the best small troupes of dancers we have played.
