B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Nov. 14 Cleveland, O. F. H. Brandt THE GRAZERS Man and woman, F.S., 6 min., Close in one, 5 min. This act seems to be a little disconnected. The man does a toe dance in female costume and the woman plays the French horn. The act went very bad this afternoon. Hardly think it is good enough for the big time. Next week PITTSBURG. UNA CLAYTON & CO. Presenting a comedy "A Child Shall Lead Them". This is a very pretty little playlet with plenty of comedy. Miss Clayton is a very clever woman but the supporting company is very bad. The act went very good this afternoon and if the company part had been better actors, it would hold a much better spot on any bill. Interior, 30 min. Next week open. HARRY B. LESTER The Jovial Jester. Mr. Lester's trunk did not arrive for the matinee performance and he had to work in his street clothes. He does a few songs, a little monologue and some very good imitations of De Wolf Hopper, Bert Williams and Mr. Stevens from a scene of "The Devil". This is a very good act and went very big. 18 min. in one. Next week open. MR. & MRS. JIMMY BARRY Comedy playlet "The Rube". Two special drops in two. This act is similar to the acts he has done before. Most of the dialogue is new, closes with his old song. Went very good. 22 min. Next week COLUMBUS. NEWBOLD & GRIBBENS New character impersonation. Man and woman. These people do some very clever imitations and went very big. The woman has a very good voice and sang several very good voice and sang several very good selections from different operas. I think the act would have gone better if we hadn't had Lester on two acts before doing imitations. 18 min. in 1. Next week PITTSBURG. IRENE FRANKLIN In a repertoire of character songs. There is only one thing I can say in regard to this act - to my mind and also general opinion of the audience this afternoon, it is the best act of its kind in vaudeville. Her songs are all new, also her costumes. She did only 40 min. this afternoon, so you can tell from this how good the act is. Int. Next week open. WLECH, MEELY & MONTROSE In their laughing success "Play Ball". This was practically the same act they have been doing for the last 2 or 3 yrs., with the exception that they are carrying a special drop for the baseball game. They held this spot in good shape this afternoon. Open in 1. Next week open. THE FIVE SATSUDAS Equilibrists. Featuring K. Maulrichi, the Japanese comedian. This act carries one of the most beautiful sets I have ever seen. The same can be said of the act itself. Although the show was very late today, they held this spot in fine shape, and received plenty of applause at finish. A great act. 13 min. F.S. Next week PITTSBURG. Cuts - Welch, Meely & Montrose. The phrase - "What the H-ll", used three times during the act.
