HUDSON THEATRE, UNION HILL, N.J. Week of Nov. 20th, 1911. Jean Kernan. DELMORE and ONEIDA. A man and a woman in 2. Well known perch act, the act is very slow and hardly strong enough to open the show on the big time. Time 10 Min. SABEL JOHNSON. A singing comedienne in 1. Formally of the well known team of Johnson and Hayes. She is now working alone assisted by a young boy who sings from the orchestra pit a medley of songs which Miss Johnson is supposed to have made popular. For her closing number she does her well known Buster Brown specialty. If she gets some new songs she may be able to hold down this spot. She was quite nervous at both performances. Time 15 min. FENTELLE and VALLORIE. A man and woman in 1, carrying a special drop representing a board walk scene. This is another Mack and Walker specialty, and their songs and patter went very well at both performances. Forced to give an encore at the evening performance. Time 14 min. MEYMOTT and ELLISTON. A man and woman. C.D.F. In a typical English sketch entitled "My Burglar." A husband tells his wife of a neighboring womans experience with a burglar and the wife boasts that she is not afraid of burglars. He thereupon resolves to put her to a test. Disguising himself as a house breaker he enters the room and at the point of a pistol compels her to disgorge her jewelry and also to disrobe herself of her evening gown. The wife of course proves to be very much terrified when facing the supposed burglar. For a finish the husband explains the identity of the pseudo burglar. The sketch can hardly be called exciting but it went fairly well at both show. Time 13 min. INTERMISSION. THE WINDSOR TRIO. Three young men opening in 1, go to C.D.F, close in 1. They do an act that is somewhat different than the average "Rathskeller specialty. They put their songs over in good style and no manager will make any mistake in booking them. Went big at both performances. Time 14 min, close in 1, 4 min. SIDNEY DREW, LIONEL BARRYMORE & CO. Five men and one woman in a comedy sketch entitled "Stalled." This is an automobile one act playlet written around the vicissitudes of a bride-groom who gets "stalled" in an auto on his way to wed his bride. It is written by the author of "Billys Tombstones" and after the rough edges are worn down it will undoubtedly meet with great success. It is capably written and admirably acted. Went big at both performances. Time 22 min. F.S special drop and carry automobile. THE GREAT LESTER. Well known ventriloquist. A riot, thats all. Time 28 min KITAMURA TROUPE. Ten Japanese acrobats. This is a well known and splendid closing act. Carry their own drop. Time 20 min. PHOTOPLANE. The escaped lunatic. Very good. CUTS. The Great Lester, gag about splinter in his finger.
