B. F. Keith's Theatre, Cincinnati, O. Nov. 19th, 1911. ALBURTUS & MILLAR: "A Scene At the Fairgrounds". 15 minutes, opening 10 minutes full stage, and closing 3 minutes in One. Own set. One man and two women. Miss Millar does some excellent cornet playing, and Alburtus, in a grotesque costume, does some expert throwing at babies with baseballs, his accurate throwing making a hit. There is some excellent club juggling, and the act closes in One with some xylophone playing by the two ladies. Act contains numerous good laughs, and went good. Some of Mr. Alburtus' baggage went astray Sunday, and could not be found, preventing them from putting on the act in full. At Sunday's matinee the two women did eleven minutes in One with cornet and xylophone, Mr. Alburtus not appearing in the act. He failed to find his baggage in time for Sunday night's performance, and the act of the afternoon was repeated. The missing baggage was afterwards found in the C. H. & D. depot, having been sent from Indianapolis over another railroad. The act in full was put on Monday afternoon. Act goes to EVANSVILLE, IND. EDDIE REDWAY & GERTRUDE LAWRENCE: In a sketch entitled "Moonflowers". 15 minutes in Two. Own drop. There is nothing to this sketch, and it is slow and draggy, and the work of neither Mr. Redway nor Miss Lawrence is noteworthy. Went only fair. Act goes to MEMPHIS. KNOX WILSON & CO.: 17 minutes in One. Two men with a bit of comedy, followed by Mr. Wilson playing on the concertina and saxophone. Act went good. Act goes to OGDEN, UTAH. EARLE REYNOLDS & NELLIE DONEGAN: Roller skates, 8 minutes, full stage. The act appeared in new costumes. Some very classy work by both. Act went good. Act goes to RENSSALAER, IND. GORDON & MARX: German comedians, 16 minutes in One; great act - went big. Act goes to LOUISVILLE. FRANK KEENAN & CO. In a dramatic sketch entitled "Man To Man". 22 minutes, full stage. Some very intense acting by Mr. Keenan, and also by the three other members of his company. Went big at the matinee, and at night Mr. Keenan received eight or nine curtain calls, and made a speech. Act goes to MILWAUKEE. WELCH, MEALY & MONTROSE: In their comedy and acrobatic sketch entitled "Play Ball". 17 minutes in One. Advance hand. This is the same act that they presented here for several seasons past, but it went as big as ever, and is one of the laughing hits of the show. Act goes to NEW YORK. SIMONE DE BERYL: In "A Vision of Loveliness". 10 minutes full stage, with stereoptican drop. A number of pictures are thrown upon Mlle. De Beryl with beautiful effect, the stereoptican being operated from the orchestra pit. The various poses are very generously applauded. Act goes to LOUISVILLE. B. G. KEITHOSCOPE: Pathe's Weekly of current events #19. 17 minutes. REMARKS: The show contains one or two mediocre features, but the rest are very strong, making the bill, all in all, a good one. cuts: Redway & Lawrence - the use of Garry Herrmann's name. Also in the same act the expression, "I had a hell of a time getting here". Knox Wilson, the expression "Oh, My God!" C. L. Doran.
