REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW, WEEK OF DEC. 4, 1911. --- W.W. PROSSER. LaTOY BROTHERS: Comedy acrobatic and tumbling act. Lots of new stunts and everything excellently presented. Very favorable impression and strong finish. Center Door Fancy in three, 10 minutes. (Act goes to Cleveland) MARIE FENTON: "The Magnetic Melody Maid". Sings several songs, the first of which go moderately well, gradually working into a good finish. Olio in one, 13 minutes. (Act goes to Cleveland) THOMAS HOIER & CO. Comedy sketch, "The Iceman". This is a crazy sort of affair that seemed to please though there is not very much to it. Got by all right with a fairly strong finish. Center Door Fancy in three, 16 minutes. (Act goes to Pittsburgh) FRED WARREN & MATT KEEFE: Comedian and yodler. The former works blackface, the later straight. Songs and talk make up the line of material. Open fair, improve as they progress and finish strong. Street in one, 21 minutes. (Act Goes to Ottawa) KALMAR & BROWN: Character songs and dances. A very good number on the order of Rock and Fulton. Did not do so well at first, but picked up nicely, rounding out a good strong finish. Special set in three, 17 minutes. (Act goes to Syracuse) HARRY LESTER: Songs and talk, all of which went very well, gradually working into a good strong finish. Olio in one, 17 minutes. (Act goes to Cincinnati) GEORGE FELIX & BARRY SISTERS: In "The Boy Next Door". Notwithstanding the previous showing here of this act, there was laughter throughout at the antics of Felix and applause for the songs and dances presented by the girls. Good and successful finish. Center door Fancy in three, 21 minutes. (Act goes to Cincinnati) HOUDINI: Opens with moving pictures showing him in Paris, and later, with his aeroplane in Australia. Gave handcuff tricks and finished with galvanized iron tank filled with water trick. Held attention throughout. Won applause and finished very well. Special stunts will be put on during engagement. Palace in four, 37 minutes. (Act goes to Cincinnati) MOTION PICTURES: O.K.
