GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. J.P. Harris. Nov. 13th, 1911. HENRY HORTON & CO. 25 minutes. Garden in three. "Uncle Lem's Dilemma." I was very much disappointed in this act. After the first performance I had to put it on to open the show. Mr. Horton's support is very bad; would not care to recommend it to any one. AL. & FANNIE STEADMAN 14 minutes. Olio. Singing, dancing and piano playing. This act does very well for No. 2. SELBINI & GROVINI. 12 minutes. Garden; full stage. Acrobats, jugglers and cyclists. I consider this one of the best acts of its kind that we play, when the salary is considered. LINDEN BECKWITH. 15 minutes. Olio. "Sweet Singer of Sweet Songs." this girl is a handsome dresser with a great voice. Always does well for us. REYNOLDS & DONEGAN. 9 minutes. Palace, full stage. The best of all the roller skating acts. Their dancing on skates is away above anything I have ever seen in this line. WALTER C. KELLY. 22 minutes. Olio. The same big hit he has always been. McCONNEL & SIMPSON. 25 minutes. Interior in three. Their old sketch, "A Stormy Hour." Miss McConnell always does well for us, and her engagement this week was no exception. HOUDINI. 25 minutes. Palace, full stage. Introducing his milk can mystery. He failed to create any excitement with the milk can; neither did he bring us any business until we worked up his old packing box stunt, and through the assistance of the superintendent and keepers of one of the asylums here, we were able to work up some little interest in the straight-jacket. I would not care to play Mr. Houdini every turn at anything more than an ordinary salary.
