B.F. Keith's Theatre, Cincinnati, Ohio. Week of Nov. 16th, 1913. John F. Royal. HERBERT'S DOGS 11 min. F.S. Land. A very pretty and clean animal act, with no stalling and several good tricks at the end, including the loop-the-loop dog. It proved a very pleasing opening act. OPEN. HELEN PAGE AND COMPANY 28 min. open in 1 1/2, F.S., close in 1 1/2. This act was on too early in this spot, but yet went very good. It proved a very pleasing act, and while a little bit too long, started the show off in good shape. Two men and a woman in this act. Tells a story of a girl who tried to be an understudy for a great actress and failed, but compromised by marrying the leading man. Human interest atmosphere that satisfied the audience. PITTSBURG. CHARLES AND FANNY VAN 18 min. in One. Street. Two men and a woman in a well known act that was a scream from start to finish. This act went over very big. LOUISVILLE. FOUR HARVEYS 10 min. F.S. Pal. Two girls and two boys on the wire, with one woman working on the stage. This is a great act and went big here. They turkey trot on the wire by the two girls has real class, and proved one of the hits of the show. Big closing. NEW YORK. MCKAY AND ARDINE 19 min. Open in One. Go to F.S. Close in One. Man and woman in singing, talking and dancing act "On Broadway". Went over in good shape. This act has a lot of life and motion and the material is good. Mr. McKay was remembered here, also Miss Adrine, and they got a reception. They work snappy and received a big closing. INDIANAPOLIS. DIGBY, BELL AND COMPANY 25 min. F.S. Dk. Fancy. Two men and two women in a one-act farce "It Happened in Topeka". This act opened dull, but began to pick up and got big laughs. However, at the finish the applause was only fair. Nevertheless the act pleased as a whole. NEW YORK. WELCH, MEALY AND BELL 15 min. in One. This is the old act of Welch, Mealy and Montrose, with Johnnie Bell in place of Montrose. They have made some changes in the act for the better. Bell is a tremendous improvement, and although he was suffering from an attact of rheumatism in the back, he gave a wonderful performance and the act went over in good shape. INDIANAPOLIS. ARCADIA 22 min. F.S. Special. B.A. Rolfe's pretty musical act. Held them in throughout the act and got a big finish. The act opened a bit quiet, but after the first song went better and the closing numbers with the brass get the act a big finish. The lady orchestra director is quite a feature because of her personality in the pit, and Charles Edwards, the cornetist, repeated his success of other visits. This is an artistic musical production and was ver well liked here. AKRON, OHIO. LOCAL MOTION PICTURES Still interesting. CUTS. Welch, Mealy & Bell "Hell". Story about "I have been sitting on it for forty years". McKay & Ardine Story about "If I held a hand like this, etc." Charles and Fanny Van. The word "God".
