B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Week of Dec. 15th, 1913 Cleveland, Ohio TUSCANO BROTHERS- - Palace in 4. 15 minutes. Clever jugglers with battle axes. Pleased. (Indianapolis) WILLIAMS & WOLFUS - - Palace in 1. 20 minutes. Man and woman. A clever travesty piano act, in which the man does some new stunts and has a crisp patter of good stories and jokes. The woman dresses the part, but is a mere foil to his comedy work. Closed strong. (Cincinnati) THE THREE KEATONS - - Father, Mother and Son. Exterior wood in 4, set house L.2. 30 minutes. These old favorites in their familiar knockabout act caught the house and scored a winner from the start. (Detroit) BERTON CHURCHILL & CO - - 3 men, 1 woman. Opening with special scene of a booking agency in 3, closing with special velour drop in 2. Mr. Churchill's sketch "There Were Actors Then" gives him ample opportunity for a portrayal of Richilieu in the "Curse Scene." The act received satisfactory applause. (Philadelphia or Indianapolis) DUFFY & LORENZ - - Man and woman. Special exterior scene in 2. 20 minutes. An exceptionally neat and clever pair, who sing, do a little dancing and talking that are hits from the start. (Pittsburg) ARTHUR HOPKINS' MELLER DRAMMER "MYRTLE CLAYTON" or "WRONG FROM THE START". 6 men, 2 women. Special scenery. 30 minutes. The sketch does not come up to the standard set by the little classic "More Sinned Against Than Usual". While the scenes are more elaborate the situations seem to just lack the necessary comedy punch, and I believe if parts of the sketch were rewritten it would greatly improve it. The novelty of the House Manager working the effects from the hayloft caught the house, and while the entire act got over with many laughs and some applause, the general opinion seems that there is something lacking that would make it a knockout. (Syracuse) JOH. JOSEFFSON'S ICELANDIC GLIMA TROUPE- - Garden in 4. 15 minutes. A fine exhibition of Iceland's sport, similar to Jui Jitsu, showing effective methods of self defense. The act is gingery, full of action and held the audience to curtaon. (Columbus)
