REPORT FROM B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON Week of dec. 22 - 1913. (Robert G. Larsen) JUGGLING DELISLE. 9 minutes in two. Garden drop. "The man with the hats." A neat appearing young chap who does some very clever juggling. His work with the five hats is exceptionally good. Made a splendid opener. JENNINGS and WILSON. 14 minutes in one. Street. "The boys who sing their own songs." Two blackface comedians with some original songs and parodies that got a quite a few laughs. Filled this spot acceptably, but would not care to play them any further down on a bill. MADAME MARY'S GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH. 19 minutes f. s. Special set This is the old Max's Circus, greatly elaborated, with twenty five animals and twelve people. Opens with a parade; and then introduces riding dogs; a turkey trotting mule; musical dogs; a pony that rides the revolving table; an unrideable mule; and many clowns. In fact, includes about everything seen in a regular ring show under canvas. One of the plants who attempts to ride the mule is very funny, and had the audience in screams to-day with his falls. A strong comedy act that made a great hit with the kids. THE FARBER GIRLS. 18 minutes in one. Garden. Couple of nice-appearing girls with a good routine of songs and dances, interspersed with a little comedy. These girls have improved wonderfully since their appearance here last season. Scored a decided hit FREDERICKS SLEMONS and CO IN "LIZ" 21 minutes f. s. Plain chamber. Quite a funny comedy written around Miss Slemons ability to handle slang. Supporting company is capable, and the act got many laughs at both performances. Strong closing hand. HILDA HAWTHORNE. 14 minutes in one. Olio drop. I fear Miss Hawthorne needs some new material. I regret to say she did not get as many laughs as on former visits, although she received a strong closing hand. JESSE L. LASKY'S CLOWNLAND. 27 minutes s. f. Special set, A sort of apotheosized minstrel show with black and white settings and Pierrot and Pierette costumes. Ceballos & Desmond and recent additions to the the [can?], and their dancing is easily the feature of the performances. Each of the musical numbers received a good hand, and they closed strong with the parade through the audience. CHRIS RICHARDS. 21 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. This chap walked away with the hit of the show. Richards does things with those long legs of his that draw tears of laughter from a wooden Indian Closed very, very big. LEROY WILSON & TOM. 9 minutes f. s. Garden drop. Wellknown bump act that went exceptionally big with the afternoon audience. ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PANTOMINE. This feature, with its giant Xmas tree and distributions of gifts to all youngsters in the audience, drew a packed house this afternoon. CUTS: The Farber Girls - reference to "September morn."
