WASHINGTON SHOW R. S. Robbins Dec. 29, 1913 LA CRANDALL: 6 min. F.S. Dainty looking woman in difficult and daring feats on the slack wire. Goes good. LOCKETT & WALDRON 10 min. in one: Opens with a song, but their forte is dancing, which is of a high order. Straight, comedy and acrobatic. Work in dress suits and look very natty. Goes very good. WINSCH & POORE 18 min. open F.S. with beautiful special set, and closing in one, their drop. Comedietta "No Trespassing" combining fair comedy and songs. Act needs ginger and strength. Goes fairly well. HUSSEY & LEE 20 min. in one - "The New Chauffeur". Hussey's comedy, in garb of a chauffeur, original and very funny. Lee sings and looks well in dress suit and is a splendid feed for Hussey. this act was a big hit. EDWIN STEVENS & CO. 23 min. F.S. in "The Troubles of R. & J." A travesty on Romeo and Juliet, a rather thin vehicle to show Mr. Stevens' versatility as a comedian and actor, and Miss Marshall's cleverness. The act is refined and high class, and generally pleasing if not scoring a hit. It gets many laughs and a good hand at finish. INTERMISSION: LAUGHLIN'S DOGS 12 min. F.S. Troupe of well trained fox terriers. A little slow at first, but makes up for it at the finish. The dogs on the revolving floor are a scream. Gets a big hand. SOPHIE TUCKER 18 min. in one. Some rag shouter. Popular songs for all their worth. Rather startles the audience at first, but soon gets and enthuses them. Gets many requests from the audience and she is disposed to sing them all. Goes very big. WOMAN PROPOSES: 28 min. F.S. Special conservatory drop. Sketch proving that woman proposes. Well acted by four men and four women. The men in dress suits and the women in beautiful gowns. A refined, interesting and amusing act. The lines are very bright. Gets laughs continuously and scores a hit. Pathe Weekly: 14 min. The pictures are especially good. Matinee Dansante: Growing in favor and an appreciated feature. General Remarks: A Great Show
