B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Cleveland, Ohio Week of Jan 5, 1913 ALEXANDER BROTHERS - - 2 men. 10 minutes. Special velour drop in 2. Two of the best bouncing ball jugglers in vaudeville. A corking good act. (Columbus) MEREDITH SISTERS Two women. Open palace in 1, change to special wood drop in 2, close palace in one. Same line of stuff they have always done and they do not seem to either improve or go backward very much. Went all right in this position. (Columbus) NORTON & NICHOLSON - - 1 man, 1 woman. C.D.F. in 4. 18 minutes. Sketch "A Dramatic Cartoon". A clever little comedy sketch, well acted and well received by the audience. Liberal applause at the finish. (Chicago) STAN STANLEY TRIO - - 2 men, 1 woman. Open Palace in 1. Close Garden in 4. One man works from the stage as the feeder with a man and woman planted in the orchestra. It is a nonsensical affair with a lot of bright lines and some good comedy. For a finish the man and woman go on the stage and close the act with acrobatic work on the bouncing canvas. The unusual acrobatic work of one of the men for two minutes at the close of the act was tremendously applauded. (Ottawa, Canada) ETHEL KIRK & BILLY FOGARTY - - 1 man, 1 woman. Palace in 1. 15 minutes. The man is a clever comedian. Has some good songs and patter and is ably assisted by Miss Kirk as a foil (Cincinnati) SAM BERNARD & CO - - in "Nonsensical Nonsense". 3 man, 2 women. 34 minutes. I think Bernard would do just as well working alone. As I recall his monolog fifteen years ago at the Union Square Theatre, I believe it would go much better with the audiences to-day, than the sketch he is presenting. Of course there was applause throughout the act for Bernard, but the company is not up to standard. Both papers this morning praised Bernard's work but criticized the company severely. (Cincinnati) RINALDO - - 12 minutes. Violinist. Fair to good but not great. Hardly strong enough for this spot, but I can understand why we had to save on part of the show. Just about got by with a little courtesy applause. (Grand Rapids) MOSHER, HAYES & MOSHER - - 3 men. Garden in 4. 12 minutes. Well known comedy bicycle act. As good a closing act as it ever was and seemed to be acceptable to everyone. (Chicago) PATHE'S WEEKLY
