BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW JANUARY 26-1914. HOLLY HOLLIS. Comedienne, 12 minutes in (1) Fair act. gets most of the laughs by the ludicrous appearance given her by the costume changes. Not much applause. BUSH & ENGLE. Good act, some new stunts, and the best of the old. Audience liked them very much, and let it be known by generous applause. BALL & WEST. Extremely good act, good snappy comedy, and plenty of it. Stuff all new and decidedly original. Went big and got good applause. W. E. Parmenter Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW JANUARY 29, 1914. EL REY SISTERS. Roller skate dancers. 11 minutes full stage. Particularly good act. Very clever in the dance numbers on the rollers. Displayed many novel and unique numbers, and got the best hand of the entire show. FRANCIS & PALMER. "The Milliner's Girl". 13 minutes in (1). Man and woman. Very good act. Character of "chappie" done by man is excellent. The gay, frivolous french actress type particularly well done by the lady. Succeed in winning considerable laughter, although applause was slight. MART FULLER, FRANCIS ROSE & CO. Comedy tropical satire. "Winning A King". 17 minutes, full stage special set. 5 people. Fairly good act. Comedy boisterous and gets plenty of laughs. Yet much of the comedy has been done before. Considering the excellence of the other two acts I doubt this one's right to the position of supremacy as the feature act. W. E. Parmenter Manager.
