118 WASHINGTON SHOW R. S. Robbins February 2, 1914 DE VOIE TRIO 8 min. F.S. Special Cycloramic drop. Three men in difficult feats of strength and gymnastics. Gets applause through act and good hand at finish. THREE [DU?] FOR BROS 12 min. in one. Fairly good dancers in extreme modern clothes. Got fair hand after each dance and at finish. JOHN RICE AND SALIE COHEN 20 min. F.S. in "Mary & John" A funny and interesting farce. Mr. Rice as the spoiled and helpless husband is very amusing, and Miss Cohen as the suffragette wife is clever in support. The act goes splendidly and is applauded generously at finish. JAMES H. CULLEN 19 min. in one. Monologist. Original songs and parodies. Stuff is funny and amuses generally. Gets a good closing hand. ROBERT T. HAINES AND COMPANY 19 min. F.S. in "The Man In The Dark" by W. J. Hurlbut. A one act drama in which Mr. Haines plays the part of a gentleman burglar who breaks into a house in time to to save a wife from being stolen. The act has a surprise finish. The star's work is convincing and his support is able. Considerable applause. Intermission [illegible]l RATLIFF & [HAYDES?] 16 min. in 1-1/2 Special drop. Two men and attractive girl in Chatter, song and dance. Ratliff in character of drunk, kept the audience in an uproar. A very enjoyable fast going act and it scored a big hit. Mme. Olga Petrova 19 min. in one. A beautiful woman gorgeously costumed, in 'Comedy and Tragedy" and she runs the gamut. Opens by singing "My Hero" in four registers, does comedy parrot and cat songs in succession, then a tragic excerpt from "The Shulamite" and closes with "Oh You Beautiful Doll" as sung by a French Comedienne and a French Tragedionne. The artist astonished her audience with her versatility and technique, and charged them with her personality, scoring a bit hit, and forcing her to make a curtain speech, which she did very neatly. THE PAULHAN TEAM: 6 min. F.S. Troupe of 5 men in novel game of basket ball on bicycles. Excited a interests for the first time on stage. Gets a fair hand. Pathe Weekly Good pictures
