B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, WASHINGTON, D.C. R. S. Robbins Week of February 23rd, 1914. FRED RICHARDS 9 min. F.S. Plush Panoramic curtain and special electrical effects. A rather clever impersonation of a danseuse, and with spectacular features makes a pretty and satisfactory act. WM. FRIEND & AMY LESSER "The Butler & The Maid". 18 min in one. Comprises singing and dancing and talk in straight and character clothes. Miss Lesser does most of the work and it goes quite well. PRELLE'S DOGS 10 min. F.S. Special novel drop showing interior of theatre Ventriloquism, novel props and costumes for the dogs make this act distinctive. It was very much appreciated and applauded. PAT ROONEY & MARION BENT "At The News Stand". 18 min. in one. This well known dancing, singing and talking act is going splendidly. Mr. Rooney's dancing especially pleasing. Laughs in abundance and plenty of applause. MERCEDES 30 min. F.S. Sensational and mystifying demonstration of so-called mental telepathy. Mercedes circulating through the audience apparently telepaths silently to his assistant, Mme. Stantons, titles or music of selections suggested by the audience and she immediately plays them. The selections range from Ragtime to Grand Opera, and some as they are named elicit considerable comedy. This act affords special opportunity for publicity. By playing-up the scientific phase we got audiences in the white House, Capitol, [Cosmos?] and National Press Clubs with special stories concerning them. The act is keenly interesting and makes good absolutely. Gets applause through act and a big hand at finish. INTERMISSION PAUL GORDON & AME RICA 14 min. F. S. Difficult and novel trick bicycle riding, singing and dancing. Mr. Gordon's work on the bicycle is daring and the act goes very good. BELLE BLANCHE 15 min. in one. Scores with her clever impersonations and pleasing voice. SAM MANN & CO. "The New Leader" 30 min. F.S. This sketch of back stage life a riot of fun and Mr. Mann's work a remarkable piece of character acting. This act scored a big hit. PATHE WEEKLY The pictures interesting GENERAL REMARKS An excellent show with a big sensational feature.
