211 BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW APRIL 6, 1914. HAROLD YATES, mimic 11 minutes in (1). Act is only passably fair; His imitation of the xylophone being the only happy moments he has in the entire act. Much of his other work has been easily excelled here form time to time by other performers. Beaumonte & Arnold, "The Doctorine", 18 open C.D.F., close (1). Good act, and seemed to please, although the applause was very slight, obtaining as they did, practically nothing until their dancing specialties at the finish. Fern-Bigelow Trio, pantomime and acrobats 8 minutes C.D.F. Only fair act, receiving very little applause. they show nothing new, and much of the comedy is extremely far-fetched, and does not succeed in provoking much laughter. The "straight" done by one of the trio is really the only meritorious part of the act, and is the only portion that seems to interest the audience to any extent. W. E. Parmenter Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW APRIL NINETH, 1914. Bert & Bessie Draper, 14 minutes in (1) Vocal work of the lady good and received fairly good applause. the darkey delineation of the man gets considerable laughter and is really the only bit he does; Applause for his work was not forth-coming, although he seemed to get them with his comedy. Gliding Stillmans, 9 minutes full stage, Good act, and went big, with plenty of applause. Audience was very much interested, and liked them immensely. Goldsmith & Hoppe, 14 minutes in (1) Exceptionaly good act. Instrumental selections finely rendered,a nd the comedy occasions roars of laughter. Made a terrific hit, and received tremendous applause, W. E. Permenter manager.
