BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY MAY 4, 1914. FOSTER & DOG: 15 minutes in (1) Good act; Canine displays considerable intelligence, and much of the work is along new and original lines, and makes a fairly good hit with the audience. IRENE & WALTER HENNY: Singing, dancing and piano, 13 minutes in (1). Good act; Instrumental selections well rendered, but portions of the dancing do not seem quite so good. However, it is good on the whole, and the audience seemed pleased. OBERITA & COMPANY: Dancing novelty, 15 minutes full stage. 4 drops. 4 women. 1 Electrician. Good act; Makes a very pretty picture and is good to look upon. Audience was well pleased, and responds with considerable fervor to the appeal made to the patriotic side of one's nature. The lighting effects are beautiful in the extreme, and received ready recognition from an audience which receives the act in a kindly spirit. W. E. Parmenter Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY MAY 7, 1914. TWO HARMONY GIRLS: Singing act, 12 Minutes in (1) Good act, pleasing in appearance, and of decidedly capable artistic ability, and happy in the selection of songs rendered, they have many happy moments, and the audience is abundantly entertained throughout the presentation. HERSHAL HENDLER: Pianist, 20 minutes in (1) Good act in the main, but in my estimation the act would be greatly benefited by the elimination of his rather feeble attempts at comedy. Aside from this his selections are well rendered, and he made a most favorable impression upon the audience who were generous with their applause. ARCHIE ONRO: Juggler, 12 minutes full stage. 1 Woman. 1 Man. Exceptionally good act displaying considerable new and original work, together with some tricks, which though old, are too good to be relegated to the shelf. He had the audience interested throughout, and they gave unmistakable evidence of approval which was most gratifying. His piece-de-resistance, juggling seven balls at one time entitles him to distinction among the really great jugglers. W. E. Parmenter Manager.
