H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW JAN.8,1917. PATHE WEEKLY. 10 min. A good lot of pictures. THREE ROSAIRES. 10 min. Two girls and a man in a very prettily staged wire act. They have a good routine of showy tricks which are well handled. HARRIS & MANION. 13 min. A very good two-men act. They work in evening clothes and have a very good medley of comedy talk and songs. Get their stuff over in good shape and were a good sized applause hit. HARRY & EVA PUCK. 19 min. This new act is the best this couple has ever done. Their songs are new and splendidly delivered, and their bit of dancing is executed with splendid effect. They work in just enough comedy to keep the laughs going and finished to a big hand. BERT HANLON. 18 min. This fellow was a great big applause hit with a couple of good songs and comedy chatter. He has a line of talk that is different than anything we have had and he gets every bit there is out of it. The audience laughed heartily from start to finish and he was one of the biggest applause hits on the bill. VAN & BELLE. 16 min. Boomerang throwers. A distinct novelty that held the audience interested all the way through. After a very showy routine, they finished up with a comedy bit that was a big laugh and the act closed to a big round of applause. RENEE FLORIGNY. 14 min. A high class musical offering. Her program consisted of three numbers, all high class, and they were received with solid applause. ALEXANDER CARR & CO. "An April Shower." 33 min. This is the same sketch he played here last season and it scored strongly. It is a well-written piece of dramatic work and splendidly played. DOOLEY & RUGEL. 24 min. In the next-to-closing position, they were a tremendous laughing and applause hit with their new act. Dooley is doing the best work he has ever done here. The audience laughed heartily and showered them with applause. MILDRED MACOMBER & CO. "Holiday's Dream." 22 min. This big water spectacle played over the circuit last season and it was just as big a hit on its return date. It held the audience seated at the end of a late show and there was frequent applause during its action, and a big hand at the finish. GENERAL REMARKS. A great show from start to finish with a good variety of music, comedy and novelty. As a special feature James J. Morton appeared at intervals during the show in the role of an announcer, getting over a good comedy number with his description of the acts. CUTS Bert Hanlon: Expression 'Oh, you naughty audience."
