REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of FEBRUARY 12, 1917. CHARLES LOVENBERG, Manager The Aki Trio Should really be The Aki Quartette as there is a little girl in the act who sings and dances -- not a small feature of the company. They do some excellent magical work of an unusual order and up-side-down and backward writing. Very good act. 15 minutes Full Stage. Raymond & O'Connor These folks have some very good material and held this spot fairly well. 14 minutes In One. Woolf & Stewart A young man and young woman and a very cleverly written sketch, not particularly well played. Got by only fairly. 16 minutes Full Stage. Marie Stoddard Miss Stoddard is a pretty good comedienne with some good material, whose salary is at least $50 too much from my stand point. 13 minutes In One. Motor Boating Good laughing act. 18 minutes. Open Full Stage Close In One. Emmett Welch's Minstrels. Nine men in the regulation minstrel semi-circle. No doubt it cost Mr. Welch quite a lot to take his troupe around the country, but I am sure we can get a better act, at least one that would give better satisfaction to our audiences, for considerable less money than we are paying him. 22 Minutes Full Stage. Andy Rice Hebrew monologue. Mr Rice in a very neat make-up, and an excellent dialect, tells some exceedingly funny stories much to the satisfaction of the audience. 15 minutes In One. Hale & Patterson & Co. Well known act. Closes the show in good shape. 12 minutes Full Stage. Motion Pictures O. K. Cuts Marie Stoddard The word "God" Motor Boating The word "God" Andy Rice Cut out the gestures in describing lady's figure. Cut word "Hell" in song.
