PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S FEB. 26 7 PATHE. 10 min. Fair DUNEDIN DUO. 12 min. Man and woman in a routine of wire and bicycle tricks. Did fairly well in the opening spot. SCARPIOFF & VARVARA. 14 min. These two boys with a repertoire of songs and piano selections were one of the biggest applause hits on the bill. In this early spot, they were forced to acknowledge several bows after doing a routine of classical stuff and finishing with a popular ballad. MAZIE KING assisted by E. E. Marini. She presents a very attractive series of dances on her toes. Each number is nicely executed and the act, being a novelty and prettily costumed was a good sized hit. 12 min. CHARLES OLCOTT. 20 min. Repeating his travesty "A Comic Opera in 10 Minutes" he registered such a big applause hit that he was compelled to come back for an enchore and scored again with a humorous recitation. VALERIE BERGERE & CO. in "Ambition." 16 min. This is a brand new sketch, strongly dramtic and with circumstantial evidence as its theme. The sketch was presented here for the first time and with a new man in the principal male role. Despite this a smooth performance was given. The playlet held close attention and finished to a good hand. 16 min. COOK & LORENZ. 17 min. Two tramps. They were added to the show without any program billing and were a big comedy hit with their old act. BRICE & KING. 27 min. This couple was a great big applause hit. They mixed in a couple of new songs with some of their old hits and each one of them went over with splendid results. Their dancing was also well liked and they finished strong. RAE ELEANOR BALL. 15 min. A distinct feature on any bill for lovers of good music. She divided her program between classical and some popular airs and scored her usual big hit here. MEEHAN'S CANINES. 15 min. A very good animal novelty that made its usual hit here in the closing spot. The finishing feature by the leaping hounds gives the act a strong closing. "PATRIA." 29 min. The seventh episode called "Red Dawn" is one of the best of the series we have seen and held the audience in their seats right through to the finish. GENERAL REMARKS. Without a sensational headliner or even a big name act, this show hit a high general average and pleased a crowded house.
