PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S MARCH 19, 7 PATHE. 11 min. Fairly good lot of pictures. MARTINETTI & SYLVESTER. 7 min. Two men comedy acrobatic act. They have made no change in the act that they have been doing for several years. It furnished a good opener. OSCAR LORRAINE. 20 min. Comedy violinist. He got some laughs with his comedy violin numbers and worked up a very good applause finish with the assistance of a girl plant in the upper box. She sang two songs to a very good hand. "GENERAL" ED. LAVINE. 10 min. Comedy juggler. Has a good routine of tricks handled with comedy bits which got a fair amount of laughs. He works in pantomime and in grotesque makeup. Act did very well. HAMILTON & BARNES. 15 min. Man and woman in a very good comedy talking act. They have no song, going into their crossfire chatter and at the start their material is bright and well handled. They were rewarded with a liberal hand. FRANKLYN ARDELL & CO. "The Wife Saver." 20 min. This is the same sketch he had last season. It is a very good farce and the comedy gets over through the way the material is handled by Mr. Ardell. It kept the audience amused from start to finish and closed strong. ORTH & DOOLEY. 19 min. "The Fool Detective." These boys are Philadelphians and received a reception. Are doing the same act that they used on their last visit with the addition of a couple of new songs. They held the laughs going in good shape and finished to a big hand. GERTRUDE HOFFMANN. 48 min. This is the second week for this act without any change from last week but working smoother and it went better as a result. AL. HERMAN. 18 min. With about the same routine of chatter and a couple of new songs, this fellow was as big a laughing hit as ever in the closing spot on the bill. He made them laugh all the way through and finished to a big hand of applause. "PATRIA." 21 min. The tenth episode of this picture which features Mrs. Vernon Castle is more thrilling than several of the other reels and for that reason held more than the usual attention. GENERAL REMARKS. A satisfactory show surrounding Gertrude Hoffman, held over the second week as headliner. Several comedy acts held up the first half of the bill in good shape. CUT HAMILTON & BARNES: Joke about "giving berth to a woman." II The new running order for the balance of the week as follows:- A Orchestra B Pictures C Martinetti & Sylvester D Oscar Lorraine E Gen. Ed. Lavine F Hamilton & Barnes G Orth & Dooley H Franklyn Ardell I Al. Herman J Gertrude Hoffmann K Patria L Exit March
