Report on Show Playing at Keith's Providence Theatre for Week of April 9/17 This is the last week of the vaudeville season and happily we have one of the very best shows. Not only did it make good with me but the audiences yesterday were delighted. VanCleve & Pete Two men and a mule. Makes a good opening act--pleased the children and in general was quite satisfactory. 10 minutes full stage. Phina & Pix Fortunately Phina does very little in the act thereby making it a good act, the work being done especially by the colored people. 12 minutes in one. James C. Morton & Co. Mr. Morton didn't get over as well as with his male partners probably because his material has been seen here so much before. This is no doubt the weakest act on the bill. 16 minutes open full stage. Close in one. Franklyn Ardell & Co. in "The Wife Saver". Went over immense. 20 minutes set in two. Renne Florigny Concert pianist. Did very well indeed. 12 minutes in one. Sallie Fisher & Co. The great big hit of the bill. Excellent sketch splendidly played and mounted. 23 minutes full stage. Savoy & Brennan These men came back this season with quite a lot of new material and scored the big laughing hit of the bill. 11 minutes in one. Emily Ann Wellman and Company These people have a great novelty and they play it well. But they overlook very great possibilities by not making this a burlesque play on the movies instead of a serious drama. The play itself is very crude and old-fashioned but the novelty gets it over. Held the audience intact. 22 minutes full stage. Motion pictures O. K. CUTS Savoy & Brennan Cut word "God". James C. Morton Cut words "My God" and business of measuring lady's bust and throwing his legs around the lady's saying, "Do you want to wrestle?"
