BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I., Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23, 24 and 25. KAUFMAN & LILLIAN--- In a Lot of Nonsensical Talk, dancing and singing; change of costumes; Southern costumes of war times; Southern belle and her lover; (man and woman) went good. 15 min. in one. JOHN W. RANSONE--- Monologuist; makes-up straight; a monologue and parodies, which went over good. 18 min. in one. WERNER & AMOROS TRIO--- In "Love's Follies"--acrobats, juggling, cello, piano, violin; three men, one takes a woman's character; one takes the character of Charlie Chaplin, etc. 18 min. C. D. F. went fair. P. S.--The people as a rule don't seem to like this show; heard quite a number of unfavorable comments both this afternoon and also this evening, especially on the last two acts. Went Fairly Well. Matnee Went Fair Night. Svengali A Clever dog who does most everything his master tells him work in one from 15 to Thirty Minutes according to how fast the dog works. Act gets tiresome. Went Good Matnee Fair at Night. Cooper and Ricardo Man and woman in one 15 Min. Comedy chatter and some good singing by man. Woman a "NUT" comedienne. Went Good. E.E.Clive Co. Three men one woman in full stage 15 Min. Comedy sketch "One Good Time" Well acted but not strong enough for a feature Went Well Matnee Went Fair Night. Show on the whole not up to standard.
