PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S APRIL 30, 7. PATHE. 14 min. A series of pictures, almost entirely patriotic, very well received. ROY & ARTHUR. 14 min. They are doing the old Bodini & Arthur juggling act with another man in Bendini's place and using a new set with the same routine of tricks. Did very well. YOUNG & WALDRON. 10 min. The girl was formerly of Young & Brown and the man of Lockett & Waldron. The new combination offers a series of songs and dances, the final number being eccentric and is grotesque costume. The act went over well, finishing to a good hand. RAGTIME REILLY. 15 min. This boy is a sailor on board the U.S.S. Michigan and was given a special leave of absence to play this engagement. The League Island Navy Yard lent its aid by sending a recruiting squad which opened an office in the lobby and one of them introduced the sailor from the stage, making a short appeal for enlistments. The sailor did a very good pianologue, singing three or four numbers and proving himself an excellent entertainer. He was an applause hit and could have made good on his individual work. "HONOR THY CHILDREN." 22 min. A satirical comedy with William Lawrence & Co. The present day eugenic discussion supplies the theme of a very good laughing sketch. The comedy improves as it goes along and the act finished strong, winning a big hand. IRWIN & HENRY. 18 min. Formerly Irwin & Burnham. A very good singing and talking skit, the man being an exceptionally good comedian and the woman an excellent feeder. They have a good line of material, got plenty of laughs and finished strong. KELLY & WILDER. 16 min. Using the same act they have had for several season. The mixture of new songs and old time melodies accompanied by piano and violin was warmly received. SAVOY & BRENNAN. 12 min. These boys scored one of the biggest laughing and applause hits on the bill. They kept the audience in a roar of laughter from start to finish and closed to a big round of applause, taking several bows. SOPHIE TUCKER. 26 min. Surrounded by her Five Kings of Syncopation, she was as bit a hit as ever. Her half dozen songs, some new and some old, were all big applause winners and she was forced to come back for a couple of extra encores. DAINTY MARIE. 10 min. Doing the same routine on the flying rings and rope that she has been using in vaudeville for the past two seasons. In the closing position of a lively show, she held the house seated and finished strong. GENERAL REMARKS. A very good show with several big laughing and applause hits distributed through it and hitting a high general average of entertainment from start to finish. CUTS ROY & ARTHUR: Business of throwing wooden dishes into audience. IRWIN & HENRY: Expression "darn long walk" in song SOPHIE TUCKER. Expression "Hope to God" and the talk to orchestra leader using the words "Oh you old devil." For the balance of the week the following will be the running order:- A Orchestra B Pathe C Roy & Arthur D Young & Waldron E "Honor Thy Children" F Ragtime Reilly G Kelly & Wilder H Irwin & Henry I Sophie Tucker J Savoy & Brennan K Dainty Marie L Exit
